Cloverfield 2: Back in the Habit?

So this flick is just the ultimate in viral marketing for the REAL movie.

I'm actually surprised they didn't release little snippets of alternate views online, prior to and during the release. Unless they did, and I just missed that.

Could see them doing:

- A flick (similar to the 1st one) featuring an alternative POV (or POV's) and storyline.
- A narrated "MonsterQuest" documentary style flick (which would feature clips of multiple POV's, interviews with scientists and survivors, reenactments/dramatizations, etc).
- Or a typical Hollywood Blockbuster style movie with a bigger budget, more monsters, name actors, etc.

I'm really torn, and I agree, if there's nothing compelling to tell story-wise, just leave it be. But I can't wait for the DVD, so I can pour over the features. Hell, spend the money and make that feaux-documentary feature an extra disc with the dvd (Full-Tilt Boogie, etc) or a separate DTV release, similar to what you see with current dvd's (The Buried Secret of M. Night Shyamalan, Animatrix, The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury, etc). I'd shell out the extra cash for that.

I would love to see them do a faux-documentary, but that's really about it, sequel-wise.

DVD Features

Well it looks like they're already talking about the DVD.

Its mostly speculation right now, but it sounds like there is a lot of deleted scenes. I'd really like a making of doc but who knows.
