Stuart Gordon is curating a series in January. Argh.

Tell her it's a brand-new print of "Death Wish 3." And it's gorgeous.

My mother said that the series ended for her with Part 2. It's out of my hands.

Once again I will be in LA for a a few nights and The New Bev is offering slim pickins on the late night tip. Only option so far is Disco Godfather on the 23rd. Anyone going?

I'd really much rather see The Room, so if anyone knows of a screening, hit me up.

Saturday the 27th at the Laemmle 5 - same theater where THIRST was playing! How long are you in town?
Not that long. F!
Dammit. Oh well, I'll go and tell you how great it was. We'll find something!
The Human Centipede is playing at the Silent Movie Theater on the 20th.

Midnight showing of Razorback on the 20th at the New Bev.
Not there for the 20th either. Thanks for all the heads upses, though.
This Saturday is THE LAST AMERICAN VIRGIN at midnight. No promises, but I might be in, and Beaks has said he wants to go.
Check out the Egyptian and the Aero here http://www.americancinematheque.com
post #115 of 143
Nice. People should definitely go see Baby Doll at the Egyptian on the 20th.
Any other Los Angelenes up for seeing Hausu this Saturday?
Looks like Rififi is playing today and tomorrow. Anyone going?
They got Prisoner Of Zenda & Flynn's Prince And The Pauper playing back-to-back on the 4th and it's killing me. YOU SONS OF BITCHES STOP SCREENING GOOD MOVIES!
Visiting my brother over the weekend, and thinking I may drag him to the Peckinpah/Tarantino double feature on Monday night. Any chewer activity in the forecast?
Oh shit. How long are you here, just until Tuesday or so?
Also, where are you dudes located?
So while I'm attending L.A. Film School, I expect to be a frequent visitor to this facility.
You should.
Their upcoming schedule is like Hansel - so hot right now.

BODY DOUBLE and FEMME FATALE back-to-back? Fuck yeah.
Yeah, I shot load when they started posting the new shows.
Stallone Triple Bill.
Kinda bummed that OVER THE TOP wasn't included, but I'll take what I can get.

So tempting, even though I'm not remotely a fan of Tango and Cash. The chance to finally see the glorious Cobra on the big screen, though, is a draw.

Anyone hitting up THE UNINVITED/THE HAUNTING this Sat?

I wish, but I'm sadly booked both days. I've never seen The Uninvited.
It's a struggle for me too. I've got some conflicting plans, but UNINVITED not being on DVD and being majorly hyped by Scorsese is making me think I need to short some shit out.
Yeah, I'm stuck too. I really want to go, but already made promises to some folks.
Well, if you guys aren't going, I'm not going.
I think I'm gonna be hitting up UNINVITED/HAUNTING tonight.
Didja go?
I did. Was surprised by how many people were there. The New Bev's attendance has really improved since I first started going years ago. Used to be that for old movies like that there'd only be about 10 people in the theater (one of them Clu, of course). It was fairly packed last night. Nice to see people turn out for something that isn't just 80's nostalgia.

UNINVITED was great. Kind of a horror-comedy actually, as most of the scary parts were also very heavily played for laughs. This was the funniest I've ever seen Ray Milland.

BTW: if my schedule permits I'm gonna try and make one of the Fred/Ginger nights coming up.
As Beaks has been promoting, there's a BRING IT ON screening tonight at midnight and it should be awesome.
Sept has the Boobs and Blood Film Festival which may have the best festival concept ever. I am slightly dubious though.
Anyone else seeing the Fred & Ginger shows tonight?
Nah, I've got a cold now which effectively fucked all my plans for the week.
Shitty. Must be somethin' going around. I was sick last week.
I'm unsure if I can go just yet, but I'm curious if anyone else is thinking about TEXAS CHAINSAW 2 this Sat?
Plans! I gotta stop being social, it's cutting into my movie time.
