In defense of HQ, it hasn't always been like that way (at least that I've noticed). In the past week or so it's been pretty bad (it's not bothersome if you're on the "lucky" team, of course). It's really taken the fun out of that gametype.

Does Veteran difficulty get annoyingly hard? I'm up to "The Bog" and so far it hasn't been so maddening that I want to destroy a controller. I find this to be a pleasant surprise. Perhaps the part where you need to get to the LZ at the farmhouse but then you have to go all the way back to the original drop point is where frustration sets in?

The respawning has become an issue lately and for some reason bastards will always respawn right behind me. It's destroying my kill/death ratio.

Between the horde of Chewers playing this of late, the lull in TF2 action waiting for the DLC, and that Zero Punctuation review, this game's starting to look mighty tempting, despite my seething disgust with most realistic military FPSs.

Oh man. I was the same way. I honestly can't stand any other COD game, but this one sucked me in. The single player campaign is probably one of the best in the genre, and the multiplayer is fucking crack. Join us Justin.....join us...

Have any of you gone back to look at the early videos that were released for this game?

From the looks of them it appears that all the "add-ons" were changed drastically. You can spot some ACOG's and Red-Dot sights on some videos and look completely different than what we have. But they look better, which made me sorta sad.

I often just shoot some of my mates when friendly fire is turned off, or maybe with the cage mage my P90's hunger will be satisfied.

I was wrong. The annoyingly hard part stars when you're in the helipcopter and terrorists are killing you before you're able to shoot them because of the limited turning radius on the shitty cannon. Bullshit.

Good time earlier, guys, except for when the bomb carrier went one way when the rest of us went another.

Afterward I played a HQ match where we were getting rocked 240-55 but managed to come back and win with 2 seconds on the clock.

Can someone explain why noob tube grenades sometimes just plunk against the wall and don't go off?

Or why sometimes it'll explode 5 fucking feet behind my target and they survive?

Or why every goddamn time I try to back away from a martyrdom 'nade I hit a fucking crate and get stuck?

There is a legitimate explanation for this one- one of the intel boxes that pop up on the loading screens says that grenades from the launcher need time and distance to "arm".

This man speaks truth, the real m203 grenades that are launched from a rifle will not explode if they don't fly a certain distance and arm. This is done so that you don't blow your own face off in real life. The video game is just being authentic. Just so you know, if your enemy is closer than the needed distance to make the round explode, just shoot him mid torso with the grenade round and it will kill him without an explosion. Plus it makes a funny little sound that makes me giggle.

Oh and I'll be online all weekend at various times so if you see me, let's get a game going.

For some reason everytime I try to flee a martyrdom grenade my guy always finds the nearest refrigerator or tricycle to run into. Or better yet my teammates will just block my path and neglect the grenade indicator that is screaming at them onscreen. Makes me want to P90 their fucking faces.

Just reading through here makes me want to head home now and play some more. I'm a COD4 PS3 guy and I usually just play Free For All, and I always have a blast. It actually appears that I am pretty decent at this game. There are times when I feel like I'm doing horribly but in the end I still end up ranked #2, 3, or 4. Not too shabby. The martyrdom grenades get me more often than I would like but I've gotten pretty good at getting away. Last night I killed somebody, ran away before he blew up and knifed 2 more players to death as I ran away. Oh my did it feel wonderful. I love the knife and I love whipping out a pistol from time to time, and the last stand perk is my best friend. Getting the dude who took you out is very rewarding and occasionally getting multiple kills in before you die is a thing of glory.

Regardless of mode I always have trouble getting through the TV station to get Al Asad only to fid out he is not there. Is there some easy way to beat it, because even though I can, it takes me too long to do so.
