Woo hooo! It's hitting my neighborhood! Get ready to collect ten bucks, Mr. Romero!

Hells yea, Bob. I'll see you there! (and not say anything, and make it really weird.)

Finally. Can't miss this one.

When I hear the slow, steady chewing of popcorn one inch from the back of my head I will know we've made our connection.

I used to be a die hard Romero fan but I'm not loking forward to this.

I didn't much care for Land of the Dead, so I'm greeting this witha little trepidation as well. I so hope it's good, and I have faith that if he chooses to, Romero can make it good, but I fear he won't. I think my beef with land may have been how he seemed to be trying a little too hard to wedge social allegory into the film. It just seemed so much more smoothly and seamlessly done in NotLD & DotD than it was in LotD. And the battlewagon they were tooling around in kind of pissed me off for some reason, too. Not sure why. maybe I just liked the idea of a hardscrabble, jury rigged from the leftovers of the world gone by existence the other films had you set up to expect. That lent an air of desperation and tension, and an added touch of believability, IMO. The sudden appearance of futuristic weapons technology just kind of rubbed me the wrong way.

I'm a certified Land of the Dead apologist, and let me start off by saying that the Dead Reckoning was no futuristic weapon. It was an RV with rocket launchers glued on. And some alluminum siding for armor, I think.

I am looking forward to this, but as usual stinky ol' Indianapolis gets skipped for the early screenings.

I'm also an unabashed LAND OF THE DEAD supporter and even though I was hoping for a continuation of that story, I'm actually starting to look forward to DIARY quite a bit. The trailer has mostly won me over.

I just hope CLOVERFIELD hasn't stolen its thunder.

Dying to see this! Just hope they expand it out to somewhere in my state. I liked Land of the Dead, but I wish he'd do a sequel with those characters.

This may be basically heresy, but I'd have liked to see him take a wack at something else than a Dead flick. I'm not sure if it was Bruiser that scared him aware from doing anything else, but it's a shame. Even though that movie sucked.

That said, and even with the very varied things I've heard on this film, I'm still really looking forward to checking it out.

Bruiser's not so bad. It's like an hour and a half Twilight Zone episode, with Peter Stormare.

Not to harp too much on this, but if I recall correctly, i think the vehicle had some computer banks and stuff inside as well. A-Team jury rigging rocket launchers and makeshift armor I could buy; but a more violent Ark II? In a world where manufacturing and technology all but stopped in the wake of the near extinction of the human race? I just couldn't get my mind around that.

Yeah, but there was nothing in there that was Earth shattering in terms of new technology. Fiddler's Green still had power, the idiots who lived inside still held on to material goods, and there was nothing indicating that existing technology still couldn't be applied.

The fact of the matter is, you're not going to change my mind on this. I love Land of the Dead. However, I agree with Alex, I'd love to see Romero take on something else than zombies while he still is making movies. Unfortunately, zombies may be all he is allowed to play with.
