Anyone remember the fuss Sean Young made when overlooked for Catwoman back in 1990? Burton may make more than his fair share of mistakes but he got that bit of casting spot on.

Personal favorite what if: Sigourney Weaver as the White Queen in Singer's 3rd X-Men movie.

Yeah, those are the ones I have trouble buying. As I've always heard it, it was always an SNL/Second City thing. I have trouble believing that non-comedians were seriously in the running for any of those roles.

Wasn't Wesley Snipes once rumored to be on the list to play bond? I'm sure that sounds terrible to some, but I think that'd be awesome. Wasn't Huge Grants also a potential Bond? That would've truly been a low point.

Walter Hill originally conceived the film 'The Driver' as a vehicle for Steve McQueen but he turned it down, it went to Ryan O'Neal instead. McQueen would've been absolutely badass in that.

I read that Keanu Reeves was interested in playing Wolverine after Russel Crowe's deal fell through. I can't imagine what that would've been like...

Ryan O' Neal is great in THE DRIVER, and it's more interesting to see him play against type than it would've been seeing McQueen (past his prime) in another car chase movie. Plus, there's the danger McQueen would've insisted on bringing talentless Ali MacGraw into the cast.

Sucker Punch was going to star Amanda Seyfried as Baby Doll, Emma Stone as Amber, and Evan Rachel Wood as Rocket. They all left due to scheduling conflicts.

I'm still curious what a Marlon Wayans Robin in Batman Returns would be like.

I suspect that if you paid a random hobo to come round, put on a Robin costume and play with his poop for two hours, you'd get a pretty reasonable approximation.
 

 

Wayans would've been pretty great as Robin, I'm guessing. Didn't he get cast as Richard Pryor in the upcoming bio?

That's what the word was on the street a couple of years ago, but it seems like Bill Condon has decided to make the Breaking Dawn installment of the Twilight.

 

Hopefully, that's a "one for them" to ensure that the Pryor biopic gets made; which hopefully comes into fruition at some point so people like Workyticket can be all "What the...".

 

And also if Pryor gets made: we can talk about Eddie Murphy as a coulda been.

Wayans is so perfect for that Pryor movie it'd be a shame if it never got made.
