DMX Arrested...Again, This Time for Drugs and Animal Cruelty

Quote:
DMX
May 09, 2008, 4:25 PM ET
Authorities say DMX has been arrested on drug and animal-cruelty charges in Phoenix following an overnight raid on the rapper's house.

The Maricopa County sheriff's office says the 37-year-old, whose real name is Earl Simmons, at first tried to barricade himself in his bedroom. He came out as a SWAT team entered during the early-morning raid Friday.

The indictment stems from an August search of the rapper's home prompted by reports of dogs being abused on his property.

His attorney, Murray Richman, says he told his client to expect such a raid after his efforts to make DMX available to law enforcement were rebuffed. Richman says the animal cruelty charges are not supported by the evidence.

As previously reported, DMX was also arrested Tuesday after speed-enforcement cameras captured him going 114 mph on a suburban Phoenix freeway.

I wonder what was in the bag?

Quote:
Short-fused supermodel Naomi Campbell was formally charged this morning at Heathrow Police Station for allegedly assaulting a police officer on a British Airways plane last month after learning that one of her bags was missing.

She was slapped with three counts of assaulting a constable, one count of disorderly conduct likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress, as well as one count of using threatening, abusive words or behavior to cabin crew.

She faces up to six months in prison if convicted for her April Terminal 5 tantrum at Heathrow Airport when the model, 38, reportedly began screaming at staffers before spitting and swinging at a male police officer. British Airways deemed her unfit to fly, and she was removed from the plane in cuffs, delaying the London-to-Los Angeles flight for more than an hour. She was detained for eight hours before being released on bail.

The volatile vixen was as picture-perfect leaving the station this morning as she’s been for past court appearances, dressed in a dark pinstripe suit, patent platform shoes, sunglasses and a winning smile.

Her lawyer Simon Nicholls says, "Miss Campbell is bitterly disappointed that the prosecutors have advised her she is to be prosecuted for various offenses. Prosecutors in this case have decided she needs to be prosecuted in the magistrates court. She respects that decision and she hopes this matter is dealt with expeditiously."

Shia DUI arrest following a crash:

http://news.aol.com/entertainment/mo...490x1200334621

I figure it's all that making out with Megan Fox, without getting to "seal the deal" driving him to drink.

I know it would if it were me.

EDIT: His truck: http://www.tmz.com/2008/07/27/shia-l...-mangled-mess/

I love how Steven Spielberg keeps sticking this guy in (rubbish) movie after movie and yet he can't afford to call a cab. Or a limo full of hookers, for that matter. No, gotta drunk-drive the big-ass Ford truck. It's douchebag material at its most vinegary.
I have zero tolerance for assholes who drive drunk. My close friend and his girlfriend were nearly killed a few years ago by some drunk driving piece of shit who hit them head-on. I don't give a damn who you are. You have no right to put other people's lives in jeopardy because you partied and made the dumbfuck decision to get behind the wheel of a car while inebriated. Call a cab. Get a designated driver. Do what you have to do, but you have no excuse, and I don't want to hear a drop of the spin his publicists are currently cooking up.

I used to actually defend this little piece of shit from fanboys who shat all over him for the simple reason that he was appearing in every film known to man, but now my respect level for him has plummeted. He's damn lucky that his passenger (and that chick must be a REAL genius to get into a car with a drunk guy) and the people in the other car survived. DAMN LUCKY.

Michael Bay's gonna shit when Shia shows up on set with a bandaged hand, or maybe even a cast. Everyone needs to have some fun, but if I was in the middle of shooting a gazillion dollar film, I would be more careful and spring for the limo. I'm sure Paramount takes care of their little golden egg.

Drivng Drunk and endangering the lives of others goes considably beyond the douchebag level.
Once again, that someone who is getting millions of bucks a picture can't afford a freaking taxi astounds me.

He has to take a MONTH off from filming to heal his hand. I'm sure the studio is pleased as punch to have their filming delayed. What a dipshit.

Apparently, the LAPD is saying Shia was not at fault, and that the other guy ran a red light. Grain of salt, or something.

Still a d-bag, though.
Apparently the accident wasn't dipshit's fault. The guy that hit him ran a red light. One of Shia's passengers was Adrian Grenier's girlfriend.

Dum, dum, DUM!!

Refresh my memory what happened to those charges from last year. Oh yeah, they were dismissed. And now despite the fact that the li'l fucker drove around drunk, it's suddenly "not his fault."

It apparently pays to be Spielberg's golden boy...

The man the French think is a comic genius gets forgetful:

Quote:
Veteran comedian Jerry Lewis was tackled by guards at Las Vegas's McCarran Airport on Friday after they found a gun in his carry-on luggage.

Staff spotted the weapon in the 82 year old's bag as it passed through an X-ray machine. He was cited for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and released.

According to TMZ.com, Lewis claimed he didn't know the gun was in the bag, which had been used previously by other members of his family. His manager insists the weapon was a "fun gun" used as a show prop.

The incident comes just a week after actor Dennis Farina was fined $510 (GBP255) and sentenced to probation for attempting to carry a loaded gun through Los Angeles International Aiport in May.

Yeah, I don't get why the charges are being dropped. Shia was till caught driving under the influence.

As far as we know he could've just been tipsy. Over here the limit is 0.08 and it's well known that just one or two beers or a well-prepared drink can make you reach that limit.

You CAN be tipsy and drive fine and alert. "Drunk" isn't universally "shit-faced".

And no, I'm not defending drunk drivers. Just sayin', it probably didn't help him that he was a bit tipsy, but it doesn't automatically make him at fault. And not everything is a conspiracy.

The only thing he's off the hook on is the charges stemming from the accident.

The charges were dropped because he left Walgreens as soon as the cops asked him to, because the record says he was "polite" all the time and because Walgreens decided not to press the case since it seemed to have been a non-issue.

TMZ has learned Craig Robinson -- Darryl the warehouse guy from "The Office" -- was arrested June 29 for possession of a multitude of drugs, including meth and ecstasy.

Cops in Culver City, Calif. say they pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation and found the drugs and the actor inside the car.

The L.A. County D.A. has charged Craig -- who also plays a henchman in "Pineapple Express" -- with possession of meth and ecstasy and being under the influence of cocaine, amphetamines and cannabinoids.

A rep for Robinson had no comment.
Yeah, TMZ, but in my defense I only scroll that site when I'm REALLY bored.

Also, June 29 and now it's being reported? Hrm.

I was in the middle of making a D-War joke when you posted this. Something along the lines of having a copy of the movie to roll cannibanoids on.

God, I imagine after doing that picture who wouldn't want to start taking illegal drugs.
