The barflies' names are Sam and Larry. Larry is the one with the trucker hat.

You're welcome.

He also played a colonel or some other military figure in one West Wing episode as far as I remember. But West Wing is ripe of memorable cameos and short stints of all kinds of people anyway.

And he was the shadowy nth-level villain on season two of 24.
The Seinfeld episode where Mr. Costanza has his Al Roker TV Guide taken by Elaine, well that creepy guy who cuts it up? Ted the Lawyer from Scrubs.
Zac Efron in Firefly. NOTHING can beat this.

Including Terry O'Quinn as General Alexander and Christian Slater as Jack Reese.

ETA: Looking up the character names I realized that Hal Holbrook (who was one of the men they wanted to play Bartlett) played Albie Duncan. I feel shame for never having recognized him.

Not really relevant to anything, but David Cross is dating Amber Tamblyn. Holy shit. I am at once in admiration and completely jealous.
Oh shit, her facebook page says "It's complicated."

Seriously, I checked.
"Amber Cross" sounds like a bad fantasy novel.

So I got Band of Brothers for Christmas. I gave it a spin yesterday and beside being absolutely hooked already after one episode, what kind of glory do I have to encounter? Simon Pegg pops up!

Now if you excuse me, I have some DVDs to watch.

Julie Benz is apparently no stranger to horror. One of her earliest roles was as Darla, a sadistic vampire in Buffy Season 1.
Despite being on the air for almost 15 years, MAD TV has yet to produce ONE breakout star.
Well, Orlando Jones and Frank Caliendo have nudged the envelope, but then again, becoming the 7-Up spokesman and making fun of Terry Bradshaw probably can't be considered "breaking out".

Not to mention continuing that role over several memorable seasons of Angel.
I'm amazed that in the last decade there were people who looked at Benz and didn't immediately think of Darla.

I think you're vastly overestimating the number of people who watched "Buffy" and "Angel".
Well, next to the number of "people who know who Julie Benz is and put some thought into it," I assumed it'd be comparable.

Found out that the producers of "24" were trying to option to rights to "The Divinci Code" for the third or fourth season of that show.
I always thought that was such a missed opportunity for them. They could have kept the format but moved away from the trappings of counter-terrorism. And we wouldn't have gotten Tom Hanks' hair.

Really??
My Mother thought she heard the line "A fucking tumor" on Grey's Anatomy one night. Can anyone confirm?
The police chief on Psych was Buffy's boss at Doublemeat Palace.
"Doublemeat Palace" is such a weird episode. It's really bad, kinda boring, and every time I see it on TV, I stop and watch to the end.
James Callis, Baltar on Battlestar Galactica, is in friggin' Bridget Jones' Diary.
Thanks to dynamotv I just realized that MAD TV has been on the air for 15 years. Shit I don't watch seems to last way longer than it should.

Jon Favreau played "Eric the Clown" in the episode of Seinfeld where George pushes his girlfriend's grandmother out of the way when there's a grease fire in the kitchen.
Law and Order and The Simpsons have been on the air long enough to span 4 presidential administrations.
Zeljko Ivanek is omnipresent.

Christina Hendricks (of Mad Men, Firefly and plentiful bust) is engaged to the guy who voiced Upchuck in Daria.
Jenna Fischer appeared on Undeclared at least twice, including leaving Lloyd's room after having a one night stand.
Bryan Singer got a producer credit on House M.D..

If his dad made one different decision. Stephen Fry would have been born in New Jersey.

Mary Lynn Rajskub, who plays Chloe is also a stand up comedian.
Hayden Panettiere's looking old. She's only 19, but on the pre-Super Bowl show she looked mid-thirties easy. Yikes.

Takeshi Kaga, Chairman Kaga of Iron Chef fame, was Jean Valjean in the Tokyo production of Les Mis.

Heroes sucks the life out of you.

Christian Slater starred in my very favorite Tales From the Darkside episode. I've gone over 20 years not realizing that was him.
Acupolco H.E.A.T was nowhere near as popular or prolific as I thought it was.

Quality, B-list film directors like John Dahl and Brad Anderson have been directing episodes of some of my favorite genre shows. Dahl directed Battlestar Galactica's "The Oath," as well as episodes of Dexter, Californication, True Blood, Life, and United States of Tara. Anderson directed two of the best episodes of Fringe, "In Which We Meet Mr. Jones" and "The Transformation."

Anyone notice any other film directors dabbling in TV? Masters of Horror doesn't count.

Joss Whedon, Harold Ramis and JJ Abrams have all helmed episodes of The Office.

Tonight, on Family Guy, Bonnie's finally gonna have the fucking kid she's had in her oven since the show began.
It should come out and already be eight years old.

Prez from The Wire is Buzz in The Hudsucker Proxy. That might be old news to a lot of you, but I'm only on episode 5 of season 1.

Just came here to post this. Good thing I scanned the thread first.

Never understood why Nicole Sullivan never broke out. She was cute on Mad TV, and once she joined King of Queens, she became a total hottie.
