Well, if I'm not, I'm in a big heap o'trouble.
Let's put it this way - where is the glaring area of need on the GB roster (assuming Rodgers is a halfway competent QB)? The OL had one of the best sack ratios in the league, despite being a pass-heavy offense, and road-graded for 200+ rushing yd in two of the team's last 3 games. The WRs are pretty darn good, and deep. TE
depth is an issue, but Donald Lee had a Pro Bowl-level year. RBs aren't particularly spectacular, but Grant was a stud down the stretch, and Jackson, Morency, and Herron have all been productive at times, so there's some talent and depth.
On D - they traded Williams, which kinda sucks because he was probably their most dynamic DT, but that leaves shock absorder Ryan Pickett, as well as promising young DTs Colin Cole and Johnny Jolly, along with last year's #1 Justin Harrell. DE is Kampman, Cullen Jenkins, and KGB. LBs are the solid-to-very-good Barnett and Hawk and run-stuffing animal/pass coverage liability Brady Poppinga. Two young S in Atari Bigby (NFC Defensive Player of the Month for Dec) and Nick Collins (who looked to be all talent, no instinct but played better with Bigby next to him), not to mention 2nd-year guy Aaron Rouse, who made some plays when he was put into the game. Harris slipped, but he and Woodson are still in the upper tier of CB combos - again, depth behind them is an issue.
Rodgers steps into a team that, while maybe not being the Pats or Chargers talent-wise, has really no glaring personnel issues and strong continuity in the front office. He is in one of the better positions to succeed.
I'm not expecting him to play at an MVP level, but if he can be another Hasselbeck/Trent Green type of QB, I'd be happy.
