I just have to ask, who's seen this?

Friggin' Troma. I want my 2-disc dvd with revealing feature-length behind the scenes doc, already.

I haven't seen it, but I'm dying to, based on what I've read 'round these parts. I also want to know where the hell teh DVD is.

When is this flick coming out?

I heard Troma's going through some troubles as of late, and that's why their flicks have gone OOP on dvd. Hopefully this won't impact the release of Poultrygeist. The footage I saw of it looked great.

Saw it. It's the funniest Troma movie to date. Almost entirely comprised of weird fourth-wall breaks or referential humor. Overlong, like the majority of recent Troma releases. But I fucking loved it. I absolutely lost it for a couple of the bits in there. When Kaufman intro'ed it I believe he said it was a shot-for-shot remake of Schindler's List.

I finally saw this, and wow. Just wow.

I've never followed Troma, with the exception of the Toxic Avenger, but this movie really is something special. And by 'special' I mean it's great, yet horrible, disgusting, but rewatchable, hilarious, but repulsive, and so forth.

It doesn't have the same charm as Dead-Alive (because here Kaufman doesn't really aim for a story beneath the chicken fucking, and scrotum snatching), but it's got more balls, literally, and figuratively. Some scenes are more funny than they deserve to be- like Paco the talking burger- and I guess that's a testament to Lloyd's brilliance, for lack of a better term.

Also, something that I feel deserves mentioning, which is that Kate Graham is just fucking awesome. She reminds me of Judy Greer- not conventionally attractive, but she has an aura about her that makes her more attractive than say, Jessica Alba (yes I know I'm crazy).

If they kept the political commentary they had in the two and a half hour cut I saw, this is a lot like Fast Food Nation. But, y'know, good.

Unfortunately I only saw the one that's an hour and a half. Fuck!

No word on a DVD release?

Also, this film could still be mediocre and it wouldn't have a hard time being better than Linklater's film- talk about a wasted opportunity. It's not like he was hampered by the concept of the project- adapting non fiction- either. There was plenty of stuff in Schlosser's book that made for compelling drama.

Id like to check out a few more gems from Troma. Any suggestions? Ive seen Toxic Avenger 1 & 4, Tromeo and Juliet, and Redneck Zombies.

Terror Firmer is good and though it was only distributed through Troma Cannibal: The Musical, same with Lollilove.

It's finally out on DVD, I came across the pun laden DVD at Best Buy. Too bad I'm too much of a poor schmuck to have bought it.

I picked up the dvd earlier at Hastings. Limited to 15,000 is pretty sweet. I'll be seeing it later or tomorrow. Really looking forward to finally seeing it.

Saw this flick last night, and damn if it's not a great flick. Offends just about everyone, and does it in a hilarious style that only Lloyd Kaufman can do. I really hope he can get financing to do another movie. It's even got the patented car crash that's been in a ton of the flicks.

I felt it was a touch overlong, but charming in the most oozy and grotesque way. Agreed that it lacked the underlying story elements that buoyed Dead Alive, but you can't say they held anything back.

Thanks for informing me of this film's existence.

I finally watched my DVD of this and I have to say, it is one of the best TROMA movies yet and one of the best exploitation movies of recent memory. Totally fucked up in every way. Obscene hilarity.

SPOILER

I happened to start watching during the scene when the huge fat dude is the first customer at the grand opening of the chicken shack, and he's already burping and farting before he even finishes ordering. Then he has to shit so bad he takes his food right into the john with him and he's eating on the john while he's shitting like mad and explodes from shitting. Then there is a musical porno number. I knew then that this movie must truly be something special!

The making-of documentary "Poultry in Motion" is also equally brilliant, definitely on par with the feature-length docs that come with "Terror Firmer" and "Citizen Toxie." You'll be floored by how warts-and-all it is.
