Lately I've found myself playing a lot of Desktop Tower Defense and Pirates of the Caribbean Online, and Adventure Quest, taking time away from games that I've actually paid good money for.

I thought it might be nice to have a thread to discuss these types of games, and for people to share any new discoveries they've made. After all, free is good.

Has anybody tried Flyff yet?

It really is. I've got friends competing to top each other's scores now. I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night with an idea for a new maze. I feel stupid for paying sixty bucks for a 360 game when there's stuff like this on the web.

I like playing the 10k Gold fun level. I can usually make just shy of 70 before it's hopeless and then I summon the other 30 levels and take a wicked screenshot.

Desktop Tower Defense should be banned. It keeps me from sleeping, playing Rainbow Six and watching The Wire.

I get to the 50th level, but those creeps fly pass me like a motherfucker.
Velociraptor Safari is taking it's toll too.

I just tried 10k for the first time. Same thing. I hit level 70, and it was all over. As always, it's the flying ones that did me in.

I can't make it past level 77 in 10k gold mode. Those fucking flying things and I can't juggle worth a damn.

Anderson: fuck you. God damn you for introducing me to this game. My productivity has shot to zero because of this.

On medium yes. But that 10k game...motherfucker...hard as balls.

And that tower arrangement took me all friggin weekend to figure out. I had shit to do this weekend! Shit to do, I tells ya!

If you are a cheater like me, try arcadeprehacks.com. They have trainers (cheats) for a lot of games online. You will rule all games.

So glad this thread is here. Anyone have any racing games they like? Looking for racers appropriate for my 5 year old son though, so no Carmageddon-like carnage please.

Here's Nanaca Crash. It makes no sense, but it's fun for a while.

...any tips for beating the little black boomerang thingies? They blow right by my half-assed defenses.

The best way i found to beat the game (to an extent, never did the full 100 levels in 10k) was to create very narrow corridors really close to the gates and make them connect immediately so the towers were better utilized. and make them go in waves too. Slow them down and use a few of the damage increasing towers.

I do a diagonal maze with squirt towers near the entrances. The maze weaves back and forth so that they have to pass the same towers three times. The black boomerang guys seem to be armored, so you really have to have your towers leveled up before they come on. Fortunately, they're slow.

Above all, don't try to have a whole bunch of kick-ass towers. Leveling up a few, and making the creeps pass them more than once, is much more efficient.

OK, so I finally tried Desktop Tower Defense yesterday. FUCK YOU. Between yesterday and today, I've probably put 5 hours into it. I woke up in the middle of the night with an idea for a maze that I had to try when I first got up this morning.

Thank GOD it ended up being blocked at work or I'd never get anything done.
