The Jacket Photo

Well folks, I done wrote me a novel. I started this project in 2001 and it is finally finished. If interested, follow the link: http://www.lulu.com/content/1462855 It will also be available on Amazon in 6-8 weeks.

It is just a story that I wanted to tell, and I hope that it is entertaining to anyone that reads it.

I'm currently working on a collection of short stories as my next project, and hope to have it done by the end of the summer. Any feedback will be appreciated, so be as kind (or unkind) as you want to be. Self-promotion is tough for me, so if you like the book, I may ask for a quote, be prepared.

How did Lulu treat you? I've heard both good and bad things about their publishing process. Sounds neat, I'll check it out and support a fellow chewer writer (novelists got to stick together!)

I can't complain about the treatment. The proof copies that I got were high quality, and it is such a thrill to hold an actual book with your name on it in your hand. It was easier than I thought it would be to do, and the toughest part was my editing process (formatting). My wife took the cover photo and took care of the cover editing, and I did the rest. The help staff is professional, and the finished product looks great. Setting my own royalties and being able to get global distribution was also easy to do. I'd recommend Lulu based on my experience so far.

Thanks for your support! I appreciate it, and like I said, I just want to tell tales and spin yarns. If doing this adds to a day's enjoyment for someone or puts a little coin in my pocket, then that's just gravy.

Just a bump because the book is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Buy.com now. Hoping that my next will be done by the holidays, but it is flowing well right now, so maybe sooner.
