The Chewer Shrine :: Show Off Your Shit....

The Chewer Shrine

The idea behind this is to show us your movie shrine(s). If someone walks through your house, how do they know that you love movies way too much?

Posters, collections, memorabilia, bigfuck DVD libraries or otherwise, post it.

This should be the giant Chewer repository for anything movie related you are proud to have so, show off!
And can't you start us off?
He's having a DVD fire sale, maybe its too late.

Sorry, didn't want this to look like my own little show-off thread. This is what started it all off though!

(I look like a fucking goof in this picture, I know...)

Oh, and this isn't really a shrine but here is some of the swag that Fox sent for that Oscar party I told a lot of folks about:

Okay, Renn...

(And I baked that cheesecake from scratch, too.)

Honestly, if someone walked in my room they'd be astounded I haven't commited suicide. My walls are literally off white and completely bereft of any decorations, though I've been meaning to get movie posters. I have a messy stack of about 80-90 DVDs in a corner. Why did I even respond to this topic.

Ideas? Don't worry, my room in Savannah is similarly blank (like my actual bedroom - American Gangster is in the living room). My room back home is badass though. I'll take some pictures of that on spring break to put in here.
In a fit of desperation I put some posters up with industrial-strength double sided tape.

So I've decided to take them all down once I decide to repaint my room.

Not yet.

And the ones I do have framed are too damn classy for my room.

Though I did have a nice wall clock that had 9 time zones. That was a bitch rearranging when we had to switch between daylight saving and regular time.
I have that very same Ash bobblehead, summer smile. He looks like he's going to dive head-first into that cheesecake.
Oh why the hell not...

I won't say I've never stabbed myself (or had a few girls put their eyes out [my girlfriend just hit me for typing that]) but it's usually not a big deal.

DVDs

Drama

Action

Comedy

Horror
Unfortunately all my DVDs and posters are packed up (it took 20 of those file storage boxes you get at Staples for just the DVDs) in anticipation of moving. Maybe I'll take photos when I move, and by then I'll have my flux capacitor as well.

I do have one of these though:

And I've got posters for Back To The Future, Big Lebowski, Usual Suspects, A Clockwork Orange, Memento, Evil Dead, Swingers, Matrix, Fight Club, There Will Be Blood, Batman Begins, 300, Children of Men, The Departed, all the Superman movies, Zodiac, Casino Royale, The Fountain, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Rebel Without A Cause, Hellboy, Spider-man 3, Spider-man 2, Black Snake Moan, and Mulder's I Want To Believe poster.

Other shit:

My signed poster of Hot Fuzz. Insert: "Patrick, Bring the Motherfucking Noise, Edgar Wright"

My signed poster for Hostel Part 2. Can barely make out Eli's signature on the bottom, but it's there. Honest. No really. Why would I lie about that, now you're just being skeptical for skepticism's sake. Really childish.

My "Best Short Live-Action Film" Academy Award I won in 2003 for "Children Listen".

Love that Hot Fuzz poster Patrick. Congrats.

I think the fact that I value the autographs of stop-motion animators qualifies me as a geek:

and if that doesn't count, there's the 25-year-old Star Wars toys on display:

and then there's this:
The Harryhousen signature wins.
I think I still have that Rocketeer book, too. I got it in an awesome swag bag (it's a pleather backpack with the Rocketeer logo on the top flap) with some cheapo Ray-Bans and a really nice Bulldog Cafe mug.

I was on board with Tati's crib until I saw the poster for The Punisher. Then I just felt sad.
I was on my way to the bathroom when I stumbled upon, guess what, MORE MOVIES! Can you believe that?

Patrick, you have SCANNERS in Action, and not Horror?

And, Hammerhead, I have Harryhausen's signature on the slip-cover of my JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS DVD.
Scanners has a head explosion, but I'd say it's much more sci-fi thriller than horror.
Primer in drama and not Sci-fi, Patrick?

Edit- Wait, you don't appear to have a sci-fi section.
Patrick, I can't believe you haven't thrown Ambush into a wood-chipper yet.

Here's part of my library's Q-size section:

Mac has flipped them but those go:
Zodiac, Letters From Iwo Jima, The Host, 300, Knocked Up, and Grindhouse. I also have POTC:AWE, War of the Worlds, Ocean's 13, Last King Of Scotland, and Science of Sleep trimming another wall. I have about 7 more to hang up.

I'm currently decorating this room, so more as this story progresses!

EDIT: Here's my DVD collection, though it's taken some hits from the DVD sale, maybe a section and a half's worth.

That movie is horrendous, but that poster is not bad. I love the character.

Dude...get a springform pan.
Dude, I don't bake enough to warrant it.

I didn't realize that using a pie tin for a cheesecake was going to cause so much confusion and consternation amongst the Chewer ranks!

Besides, Ash liked it, and if it's good enough for the King, it's good enough for you lot!
Fuck that springform pan shit, summer. If you're not cooking for Iron Chef, as my father used to say, it's all going the same direction.

I'm just mad because, due to the picture, I've had a taste for cheesecake all weekend, and I'm snowed in without the ingredients.
