I went to see Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band live in Buffalo!
I've never been to a Springsteen concert let alone an actual concert (never cared to go to one) but holy fuck! Was it an amazing experience!
We got there early so we could get the wrist bands to possibly get into the pit. Only 340 people were going to let in so when they called number 236... we were in! First time to a Bruce concert and I was in the friggin pit! I spent the whole night two feet away from the stage!
At one point Bruce walked over and I was three feet away from him! Stevie Van Zant came over a few times and pointed to us all! We all erupted in cheers.
I was singing and dancing away. I lost my voice and my hands were hurting from all the clapping. One of the guys I was with (he's been to countless Bruce shows; three on this tour) said that I looked like I was in a hypnotic state during the show.
Max fucking rocked the drums on "Devils Aracde". Hell, he rocked the drums all night! Van Zant and Nils rocked out hard too. Clarence was hilarious to watch since he did nothing all night except play the sax at some points and the tamborine when he wasn't doing anything. He would even just sit down and chill for moments at a time.
He played The Rising (which is a favourite of mine), then onto Last to Die, Long Walk Home (which fucking kicked ass!) and ended on Badlands.... but I was told it wasn't over. He comes back out and rocks it to the max with Buffalo Girls, Girls in the Summer Clothes, Thunder Road, Detroit Medley, Born to Run, Dancing in the Dark and closed on American Land. I was told he had only played Detroit Medley a few times since the 80's.
It was an amazing experience. Something I'll never forget. I'll definitely be going to another show at some point in the future.
My cellphone is messing around or else I'd post pictures from the night. Everytime I try and upload them it gets to 80% and then the phone shuts off.
