Nunz in LA Sun-Wed.

Howdy. Am going to be hanging in Burbank (with a rental car) for a few days and would love to hook up with folks possibly Tuesday night at someplace like Barnies Beanery at the 3rd St. Promenade or Cat & Fiddle or some other nutty place for drinks, conversation, and whatever other interesting static comes our way.

Lemme know if you got the inclination and the time.
I can deal, it just always depends on time and place and the random hell that is LA traffic.

Although Barney's is relatively close by to where I work. (Works near the Die Hard building)

Are we talking next Tuesday the 18th? Then I'm definitely interested.

We are talking next Tuesday.

Barney's does karaoke every night (including x-mas...long story). If you're interested in that I could meet up with folks. It's looking like you'll just have to pick a place and we'll flock to it. Personally, I live next to downtown so anything west of We Ho is going to be quite a hump.

I'm in. I'm ok with either location.

Tieman is just achin' do to that rendition of Private Eyes. Aren't ya

Cool. I'm in.

Can't do Tuesday, I've got a class presentation. I'll get you next time, Nunziata!

*shakes fist menacingly*

I'll leave the singing to the actual rock stars, like Nick...

To far of a hike for a weeknight, I think. Unless I get a wild hair.
It's a terrible dive of a place, but have you given any thought to the Chimney Sweep in Sherman Oaks?

Definitely got the inclination, don't matter where.
Totally up for this. I too work by the Die Hard building, so keep me updated on the final time and place!
Ari, you work by the Die Hard Building too eh? Which one?
Fox Plaza or Nakatomi Plaza, whatever you want to call it.
No, I mean which building do you work in.
Oh, I thought that question was weird! I work at the Fox lot.
Oh okay, I across the street from the Century City Mall next to the big gaping hole by Constillation and Ave of the Stars
post #19 of 32
Nice. Hasn't there been construction going on around that area since, like, 1904?
It's like the airport, it's perpetual construction.
Well, at least there's never any traffic around here!

Geesh...fuckin' L.A.
I'd vote Cat & Fiddle purely for the convenience of stumbling back to my apartment. There's a Barneys on Santa Monica near LaCeinega, unless you actually wanted to hit the promenade.

Of course there's always Sams Hofbrau or Powerhouse...

I apologize but I have to reschedule to April. Unavoidable, sorry.
Tease.
Awesome, maybe I can join now as I wouldn't have been able to this Tuesday.

Goddamn Burbank traffic.

Damn *Snaps fingers* I was just about to suggest the Mexican joint in Burbank with the Irish name. $1 tacos on Mondays.

Nick, I open LA Weekly rather late this week and lo-and-behold, there's a full page ad for GRIZZLY PARK. Congrats. Is it playing at the Sunset 5 through next week?

I have no idea. The guys releasing it are what you'd call "not communicative".
Is your rescheduled visit still on for this month?
So? What happened with Grizzly Park???

Barely released. Not too well received.

The thriller Grizzly Park is coming to DVD from Allumination FilmWorks on 27 May. This crazy tale of eight rebellious twentysomethings who come across a strain of really, really mean bears will arrive on DVD with an anamorphic widescreen transfer and a Dolby Digital 5.1 sound mix (no bonuses have been announced). SRP is $29.99.
