This year, if you pick a perfect bracket, you win $5 million. C'mon, the odds have to be better than the Lotto, right?

Cool. I'm in.

Likewise. Thanks, Chris.

I just entered my picks. Coppin State all the way, baby. And the Committee has no love for the ACC, Big Ten or the State of Indiana. #25 IU gets an 8 seed and #1 UNC in Raleigh in the second round? #10 Butler gets a 7 seed and has to play South Alabama in Birmingham in the first round? The Pac 10 gets six teams including two 18-win teams who did not win the conference tourney. The pathetic SEC gets 6 teams in. Meanwhile the ACC, which was the #1 conference according to the RPI, gets only 4 teams in?

Tell me who deserved a berth outside of Duke, Carolina, and Clemson? Miami was borderline FSU? Wake? The team that lost to fucking New Orleans? Mary-Land? The ACC was weak.

The SEC and ACC were both weak this year, which is very unusual. I think the commitee had a hard time dealing with that, but once they got over it, the selections were pretty much on. Something bugs me about Kentucky, but realistically, there wasn't a whole lot else out there.. every one of the supposed snubs had huge flaws.

Kentucky played a top flight SOS, won 12 games in a power conference, and got hot at the end of the season. The only reason the SEC got 6 was because of what happened at the SECT and UGA actually winning the autobid. I agree totally that the SEC was way down though. I thought the Pac-10, The Big 12, and the Big East were all stronger top to bottom than either the SEC or the ACC.

Georgia is taking it to Xavier right now. 35-26 at the half. Looks like the hot streak may continue. Michigan State has built a double digit lead on Temple in the first. Kansas is up 23 at the half.

In as well...who's who?

(Except for Barg, who I'm still pissed at/jealous of for the Alt-FF League).
In my office pool I have Georgia in the Sweet 16 and everyone laughed at me. Suck on that, coworkers!

Next time I'll keep my mouth shut.

Obama's bracket
Yes he plays. his F4 is Pitt vs UCLA/UNC vs Kansas

no 5/12 upsets
I'm surprised his Final Four doesn't include more schools from Battleground States. I see Pitt in there and the Pennsylvania primaries are pretty important. But I'm worried Obama's failure to throw a bone to Florida and Ohio schools may come back to haunt him in November. You know McCain probably has Xavier beating Duke and has Miami into the Elite Eight.

Finally some good games. WKU vs. Drake was a great game. San Diego vs. UCONN just went into overtime.
If Drake was gonna lose, they should've just went ahead and lost in regulation instead of teasing me like that.

San Diego, though.. that was clutch, and a great game. I love seeing games end on made shots and not missed opportunities - there were at least six huge shots made in that game.

Most definitely, tjc. I love when players win games on made shots, and not from misses, and especially turnovers.

And no matter how much I want a nice bracket, I cant help but cheer for these upsets, and near upsets.

So nice to have a day off today. I don't think I've seen an entire game yet, looking forward to it.
Pretty decent day of games. Stanford vs. Marquette was crazy. A&M vs. UCLA is going down to the wire.
in my office pool, I'm surpisingly still in it. But I had Georgetown making it to the final game.. so I think I'm out of it unless UNC loses (because everyone but me has them in the final game).
Alright Mr. Anderson. This is it. If Kansas wins, I win the brackets. If Memphis wins, you win the brackets.
A Memphis win and i get 2nd. Too bad i didn't stick to my origional F4 of all #1's. One of many reasonswhy I suck at Tourney pick em.
I suck. But apparently not quite as much as BOOBFETISH.
Oh look, free throws actually ended up costing Memphis in the end. There's a fucking shocker.
And people said it was stupid to criticize them for free throws. I think I actually heard someone say "free throws will have nothing to do with whether Memphis wins or loses."

yeah.

oh, one more thing ... I WIN !!!

Yeah, congratulations Starving.

Man, what a game (regulation, at least). Too bad the semifinals were blow outs. But that was a great way to cap off a tournament.
