(AGI) - Paris, Mar. 17 - Chantal Sebire must continue to suffer. The high court of Dyon has rejected the request for euthanasia presented by the woman, since eight year suffering from a rare and incurable form of face tumour that disfigures her and causes tremendous pain. Sebire is not allowed to take a lethal drug, because the president of the court ruled that supporting suicide is a crime, granting the opinion of the Public Prosecutor who last Wednesday defined the request inadmissible. Yesterday the woman told France 5 that she wouldn't appeal against the sentence.
I'd post pictures of her, but... seriously, they're really bad. Google 'em if you want.

That's terrible. The tumor's not great, either.

Very sad and all, but why doesn't she just load up on medication herself?

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Not to minimize the woman's suffering, but she doesn't appear to be bed-ridden or lacking in basic motor functions. Question of insurance?

I mean, she could just buy Drano or something. Something cheaper than taking the government to court.

Poor woman. I'd have jumped on a handful of knives years ago.

She kinda looks like Admiral Akbar.

PARIS, France (CNN) -- A French woman severely disfigured by facial tumors has been found dead just two days after a court rejected her request for an assisted suicide.

Medical examiners were Thursday looking into the death of 52-year-old Chantal Sebire -- whose case had prompted nominally Roman Catholic France to reexamine its stance on euthanasia -- to determine whether anything illegal had taken place.

It was not immediately clear how Sebire died.

What are they going to do, fine her corpse? Drag her carcass into court? Throw her rotting husk into a cell next to some unfortunate motherfucker? Or just checking to see if someone assisted her with suicide

I can usually stomach pics such as this, but for some reason that photo of her buldging eyes (the left one seriously looks like it's just going to ooze right out of its socket) stresses me out. So I just sent it to all my coworkers.
