For those Red House Painters/Mark Kozelek/Sun Kil Moon fans out there, the new SKM album April (hitting stores April 1st) can now be listened to online in its entirety on SKM 's MySpace page.

I just completed the RHP discography. Kozelek feels like a kindred spirit with me.

Tiny Cities is the only thing I haven't heard. The idea of it is just so bizarro. Modest Mouse is a good band, but was his creativity really in such a state that he had to remake and rearrange such recent stuff?

I won't check this out for a while since I'm still absorbing Ghosts Of The Great Highway, but it's great to know it exists. It's not like any of the multitude of music news sites gave me a heads up or anything.

I can wait til April 1st, since Ghosts is still in constant rotation for me. But I may pre-order for those two extree tracks, since the bonus tracks on Ghosts were among my favorite.

I love me some SKM/Red House Painters.

Sounds great.

I once interviewed Kozelek for a freelance article I wrote about two years ago. He seemed very down-to-earth while I was terrified, as it was the first time I'd spoken with someone who could be considered a celebrity on any level.

Unfortunately, the interview got hacked in half by my editors. I was really disappointed with the result.
