Sounds like Kenny Loggins' younger, sluttier brother. Looks like Santana's younger, sluttier brother.

Gries logs more screentime than that - it's at least 2 mins+. Molt - it's worth a look. Night of the Creeps was on last night, by the way. I fell asleep to it. I had forgotten that it was the main characters that actually unleashed hell upon themselves.

So Molt, did you watch this or what?

Oh sorry, I saw it a few days ago then left town for a bit and left everyone hanging. How rude of me.

I enjoyed the film. It's short and sweet. Felt like "John Hughes Presents THE HIDDEN." Atkins was superb but even the lead kid did a nice job. It was interesting to watch a movie from an era where the hero would say "Later, dude" before killing off the jock creep. That was an actual acceptable one-liner in those days.

Surprised they killed off the handicapped kid. Ballsy.

Great flick.

Love the escaped mental patient-flashback. One of my favorite horror films growing up.

Anyone know why Harry has this listed as a DVD release for next week? I assume this must be an April Fool's joke.

Night of the Creeps reminds me of the days when you and your bored friends could discover something truly magical in the VHS rental rack at the local gas-n-sip. That and Rambone the Destroyer were probably my two greatest video discoveries in the pre-Blockbuster, pre-intertubes days.

Turning back a page, speaking of Dead Heat and The Hidden, can someone weigh in on Maniac Cop and its sequel(s?).?

Um, they're pretty much shit, though the first one has it's charms. Beyond that, I met Robert Z'Dar at the 1999 Chicago Comic Con and he offered to smoke pot with me and my friends, provided I had actually brought any with me. Fucker couldn't even bring his own weed, he was just gonna sponge off the fans. What a douche.

Aw, who am I kidding...how can I stay mad at him? He was in Tango & Cash, fer crying out loud.

Maniac Cop is a good one if you're already a horror fan. The sequels are predictably lacking. It's only the power of Davi that got me through the second one.

Just saw this recently and well....i wasnt impressed. Had a couple decent special effects/gory parts but was overall rather boring. Am i just too young and just dont understand it? Like was it low budget and underground for the 80's or was it a run of the mill movie theater horror movie?
It was a low budget, very limited short run in theaters.

Yeah, I think you missed the context.
