Got clouds? Just blow them out of the sky!

China is leveraging its significant military resources to wage a war against Mother Nature. China plans to deploy 7,113 anti-aircraft (AA) guns and 4,991 rocket launchers around the city, firing a steady barrage of special payloads containing silver iodide and dry ice into cloud cover, whenever it should appear. The Chinese hope that this novel strategy will help make the Olympics rain free and perhaps give it a chance to show off its military prowess.
I wonder how many false starts we will see during the Olympics?

Why do I have a feeling this whole Beijing Olympics thing is just an elaborate ruse? China will have all their military planes in the air to try to control the weather? Are we sure that they won't be air cover for attacks on Tibet and an invasion of Taiwan? And then when the International community objects, millions of Chinese soldiers storm the Olympic villages, taking every athlete hostage to get the other nations to back off. Who's going to bomb Beijing when the Chi-Coms are holding LeBron James and Haile Gebrselassie hostage?

Yeah. I had friends in Beijing who were kinda freaked out that the military used rockets to starts rains to alleviate the humidity factor.

Uh oh, this can't end well. We all remember the last time a brutal regime tried to dominate the weather. When are we gonna learn from history, folks?

Maybe this will cover up the hundreds of athelets who get sick from the air pollution? Personally, I would love to see one of these rockets take out a bird aka Track and Field javelin style.

No shit. We should send over John McClane and Casey Ryback . . . just in case.
