Very much enjoying all this. The idea of an emo Mexican is plenty entertaining on its own, but the idea of them at 'war'? Delicious.

Just because. Yes, their entire fucking "movement" is based on this.

Now if ever there was a group to beat the shit out of on general principle....
I see that most on Chud are viewing this as spectators. Since their teens are long gone. Me being 19, this is everyday life. I am on the front line of this tribalist bullshit.More info on scene, they are basically emos with no eyeliner or suicidal tendencies. They can kind of disguise themselves within an emo clique, but are easily spotted as they are the most upbeat. They even have their own catchphrase. It is as follows: whenever they hear of an event that is interesting, beyond belief, or just typical drama, the say, "...like...that is so SCENE!" Emos really hate them as they ripped off their style and listen to thier music without cutting themselves. Emos and scenes are generally avoided as freaks by the "preps" (being those who wear clothing such as Hollister, Abercrombie, or American Eagle). Essentially preps, emos, and scenes are mostly middle class people with the preps being content and happy with bland, hollow, consumerist lives, while the emos whine about it. Emos also have unwarranted self-importance as they think they are a movement against all that is wrong with society such as greed, yet they frequent the malls for new lip-rings at Hot Topic allthe time, thus furthering consumerism. Someone needs to show them what a real movement is.

Believe it or not there are other subgroups out there than the ones STORMIN mentioned. All these groups behave just like our genes, expressing themselves and also mixing with other subgroups to form new ones. For example the "seek" kids. They are a weird mix of raver and *gags* juggalo subgroups, with some reggae/rastafarian thrown in. There is also the Chan scene whic is basically people who are into anime and crave all things Japanese. This also means wasting money on imported shit and listening to j-pop. There is the HY (hitler youth) or LF (Little Fascist) clique which consists of those who want to go into the military and have wanted to their whole lives. They are so ready for it that they wear camoflage all the time, read nothing but Tom Clancy, play FPS's all the time, have Marines posters in their room, join JROTC, and readily argue the virtues of all military operations the US has ever undertaken, ALL of them. They also have their own Subgroups divided into the branch of service they want to enter, thus causing arguments betwen the army and marines types. There is also the IVY League, which consist of rich kids with expensive cars, expensive clothes, and an attitude who so want to be intellectual and are anal about SAT's and grades and behaving well so they can get into or transfer to an amazing school. They feign intellect and talent and are usually used by teachers as models that others should aspire to. These usually end up as officers in school clubs or Honor Societies, most likely valedictorians or student of the month. None of which is earned with skill, but with ass-kissing ad conformity. Keep in mind that these are not the clubs, honor societies, or valedictorians that you guys here grew up with. Now the clubs, societies, and such, groom the youth into being the new masters of the elitist technocracy, spreading its values and virtues.

On subgrouping, some people in the youth culture get shit if they do not fit into any mold of the aforementioned subgroups. Those amorphous types are outcast and made fun of. Though the amorphous person may be lauded for being unique (rarely). Many groups also have thier own "beat up an emo" day, which is not standard. Thus, many beatings are given to the emos.

Damn fuckin kids have too much time on their hands...

...and get off my lawn!

I do not remember anything like this from my high school years. The various style clicks might not have been locking arms and square dancing together, but neither were they fighting in the streets. This is just crazy. Is this like the scene from Watchmen, when Ozzy is watching all the TVs and deciding that major war was in the air based on the violence he found in everyday life ?

Teens aren't the only ones who have to deal with this shitty emo/scene/moron culture crap. I'm in my mid twenties and most of my so-called peers seem to be emo or scene people.

My question is, if they're always going on about how they wish they were dead or some girl made them sad and they're gonna go kill themselves now, shouldn't they all be dead by this point? What a bunch of whiny, insincere assholes.

You have emos in their mid twenties? I thought this was a teenage thing, specially these morons callings themselves "scene".

I think now I understand just a bit more why the Mexicans are having a war over these guys.

Man none of this garbage seemed to be going on when I was in High School, and that wasn't really so many years ago (bout 7). There were the popular people, the not-so-popular people (hello!) a few weird gothy-types, and that was kinda it.

But I guess if there had to be a bunch of shitty subcultures, the best thing they could ever do is beat the holy hell out of each other for the rest of our entertainment. So that's fine.

That's why American scene kids are so much better. We'd rather just drink and go to clubs, while talking about our over-inflated sense of musical taste. Fighting? No thanks. That's for jocks and foreign congressmen.

Mexican police capture anti-emo troops in last weeks uprising. Not sure what group this chubby kid belongs to, but some suggested he might be one of the so called "Ghostbusters".

Emo leaders try their best to demotivate and depress their followers in order to get them ready for the next skirmish.

Holy shit! Look at the kidding sitting on the stage and you'll see that same Pink-Purple kid that was behind the school shooter looking kid in the eariler pages.

I suspect he's one of the higher ups!

They have commitment problems, which is why their girlfriend left them.

Mexican "Punks" disrupt emo peace march last week in Tijuana

Heh, those punks are at it again. Oddly enough there's a poster around here that lives in TJ (Whose name escapes me and has posted in this thread). Wonder if he had anything to say about this.

Oddly enough the one in all black with the massive boots looks more rivet-head to me. Probably a Hoccio fan.

I want to hear these kids talk.

Just to hear their pronunciations of Misfits, Henry Rollins, and Jello Biafra.

I'd like see a renidtion of California Uber Alles, myself. But make it the original, none of this "Ohh we're being current by slamming Arnold" bullcrap. It's Jerry Brown or nothin'.
