The Bitter End Discussion - Page 2

Hey, like I said, I've not got any problem with the strips. I think they're shitty, sure. Only thing I disagree with is the censorship.

I never thought I'd see chud sink that low.

Theres already been like 5 posts deleted from the new comic article. Thats just crazy.
Wow nick. Two of my posts on there deleted.

The shark, you have jumped it.

How dare you have an opinion!

Nick... EVERY single talkback post I have ever made has been under lucidz. I'm not some bitch who must hide behind relative anonymity (other than the fact that its over the internet) in order to make my opinions known.

I've always said I supported your forays into other things. Everyone should have fun. Not everyone will get it. In politics, theres a saying. "You're nobody until someone hates you". Enjoy the hate. It means you've arrived.

But please stop deleting posts. Even AICN doesn't do that...
Why is making negative comments in the talk-back such an issue? You've made your opinion of Nick and the strips known a few times in this thread already.. why the compulsion to continuously slam it in talk-backs as well? If you don't like it or get it, move on.
Err, Trejo, methinks you missed my point. I have only made one negative talkback reply. That was today. It wasn't "shitcock mfukhed nunz u suk dirl LOLLERTANK". It was simply a musing on how he was approaching humor, if a bit negatively.

Soon after I made that post, it was deleted. Each and every post I've had in THIS THREAD, are a response to the deletion of my post. I am not sitting here posting and reposting "OMG NUNZ GET A LIEF MAN U SUX".

I am posting here solely to voice my disdain for the censorship. I simply feel like if you want to enable talkbacks for the sake of increasing user interaction don't police it so haphazardly.

By the way, this one is far away my favorite. Abe Lincoln jokes never get old.

Gave me the impression you slammed it in the talk-back, it got deleted so you went back and posted it again, adding something about the other post being deleted as well. This too got the axe.

Hey, those word bubbles are getting awful high-tech.

Very very funny.

Haha... Swicegood should like this one.

This guy killed me.

He's so ready.

755! Yikes. What's the current record? Anyone know? I sadly suspect that someone does.

Now this one I understand.

I take back everything I said about Owen lowering the bar on the main page.

This is by far the funniest thing about "The bitter end" so far...

Yup, my only suggestion would be to stick with the hand drawn word balloons and text. Otherwise, keem them coming.
Well, there was a lot of text in the bubbles this time. It was hard enough to read some of the other hand-written ones once it got all tiny..

My handwriting's no better than my art. I tried to save the squinters some squinting. The next one is in color and has computer text. The one after that is full digital and I plan to mix mediums during the entire run of this little oddity.

I'm having a blast doing these, but I have to admit that part of that is due to the crazy shit I'm doing while I do these. I'll be sharing some of those art jams soon. So fucked up.

Alright. First of all, fuck you guitar hero hater. Secondly, color = yes. I dig it very much.

"under great duress," and "fear" both made me chuckle, but to use Amphib's method, this:

got me good for some reason. I like bitten buildings.
You know you want to try it.
I love the Bitter End, Nick! This one's great, and far more entertaining from the irony-free Cloverfield.

Okay, that one was really hilarious. It reminded me of the old Don Martin cartoons back when MAD was funny.

And, is the guy already not wearing pants in the first panel? Cause that makes it even better.

ETA: Realized I overused the word "funny".

Like this one. Reminds me of the satellite phone gag from Jurassic Park 3, only with a wrist-computer, which is infinitely greater. Looks like your falling into an artistic groove with the strip too, which is great. I love the little Earth planet; the drawings may be "simple" but it's getting to a more iconic simple than a crudely-drawn simple.
wow. just wow.

Do you guys actually like this crap? Or are you hoping for some kind of odd hangers'on status with nick. I'm sorry but the number of people voicing hate on the talkbacks is about 50x what the number of people praising it is on here.

Bizarre.

Yeah..

You haven't had a post on the boards in 3 months that wasn't in this thread, and only 2 this whole year anywhere else. You're clearly just trolling this shit; I guess the new fad of taking shots at the creator of the website you've been a member of for 4 years makes you pretty hot shit, huh? I'm really impressed.

Frankly, your opinion is as worthless as all the idiots plaguing the talk-backs (and they do plague -all- the talkbacks, not just Bitter Ends). Either fuck off and enjoy the rest of the content the site provides, or just plain fuck off.
Considering the elitist fuckwad nature of the majority of the message board posters, I don't feel a need to wade my way into this circle jerk of self love for your post high school in crowd all that often.

The only reason I came here was because my two talk back posts were deleted.

Also, were this a single site, run by a single person with a singular form of content, your "If i don't like it, fuck off" would hold water. However, I do like the rest of the content the site provides. I like nick's steady leaks, and his dvd reviews and 90% of the rest of the stuff that he and the rest of the site provides.

If you don't want someone criticizing your work, don't put it out there.

Admit it, you miss the talk backs for these.
I know I miss them. I'm apparently the only one on the message boards who find these to be shit wrapped sandwiches of despair.

Hardly. But you really ought to ignore them if they make you so sad.
Actually its simply become more fun to poke fun at them. ( as well as an excercize in seeing how many new ways I can come up with to hurl insults )

Its all in love though.

Keep in mind I've SEEN Curse of the Confederate Canibals... twice.

I'll give you 20 bucks to take a keyboarding and/or grammar class.
I run hot and cold with this particular strip but the newest one really made me laugh. And I like the way it looks - that, for lack of a better word, "depth", that it has. Good show!
That one really made me laugh. It seemed like a step up from the others.

Wow, you jumped right on the bad grammar internet insult cliche huh? That was quick. Are you sad because I tossed a softball at your imaginary lover?

Grow a sack and/or get a hobby.
