I was very excited to see the American Reunion movie. I saw American Pie just after college and remembered it was quite funny.
Jim, Michelle, Oz, Heather, Stifler reunite for their high school...
Devin is right, another shitty list is nothing to lose sleep over, but I don't think that's the case here. Just a discussion. On a message board. In the appropriate forum.
Back in the 20th century, I was looking through some metal/hard rock/whatever magazine in a store, when I stumbled across a "Best Band of the Milenium" poll. KoRn beat out The Beatles by A LOT, and I think those were the only two bands on there. D'Oh!
Most likely wallowing in a pit of overly-sentimental, self-evident, preachy criticism of the Veet-nam war.
You must be thinking of some other show. MASH is the show where at one point the main character sits down to a meal in full surgical garb, says he's eating a dead prisoner and invites a colleague to join him for a stack of pancreas for breakfast the next day. MASH is slapstick and wordplay. The show you describe sounds like something Alan Alda would produce.
I think it's fucking hilarious that Dr. Who (2005-present!) apparently ranks higher in the minds of Empire's readership than, say, Monty Python. Or anything mentioned thus far in this thread.
I'm going to bed, popping in Season Two of the Dick Van Dyke Show, and rocking myself to sleep.
Wait, you mean ordinary people like really crummy TV shows? My whole worldview is destroyed!
I've seen the shows you guys discuss here... it's all about degrees, as far as I can tell.
I guess the Devin Faraci who spends enormous quantities of time ranting about the stupidity of stuff people like as if it IS destroying his world must be some sort of cackling, Lynchian dwarf-doppleganger you aren't aware of.
This list is as subjective and horrible as any I've seen but the thing that really bothers me is the outcry for The Twilight Zone, and no mention of The Outer Limits. Because The Outer Limits kicked TTZ's ass, hard, fast, and decisively.
