Depression

Thread Starter
Anyone had experience of this?

It's wierd, it's like you have a black cloud over your head, and the smallest task seems like a huge problem and you lose interest in your hobbies. the problem for other people is that you appear sef-absorbed and selfish.

but it is a serious illness. It's not just a case of being lazy. (although you may be that also).

The best remedy is excerise. 30 - 45 minutes cardio - running, swimming, even walking, will help. There is curently a debate about the effectiveness of anti depressants.

I don't take kindly to Scientologists around here.

Just feel the embrace of Xenu and you'll forget to take your Prozacs.

"I just don't think that Brooke could've done this. Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don't shoot their husbands. They just don't."

Seriously though, I hear an eight ball and a good heaping of Depeche Mode will do you wonders.

You know what I do when I'm depressed?

I read CHUD Forum threads like "Beating a Dead Horse".

I feel so much better afterwards.

This? Awesomeness.
Dead Horse is a good song. It goes well with depression.
Only if done right. Listening to "Just Can't Get Enough" with the Simpsons Magic Eight Ball doesn't quite work.
Well, that's true. "Master and Servant" is still just a little too danceable.

I'm telling you, it's the sweetest perfection.

I hope your posts will never let me down again.

Stop. You're forcing me to consult my own, personal Jesus.

These threads are a fly on the windscreen of chud.

If only he could shake the disease, but you know, people are people.

Is that Jim Beam, Crown, or Jack Daniels.

I call my personal Jesus, Guinness and sometimes Crown.

Currently it's a bottle of single malt scotch. I forget the brand name off the top of my head, but it's one of the more pricey ones that a friend of mine bought for me for my birthday.
All scotch is pricey. Even the cheap shit. Or maybe I'm just a cheapskate.
Well, true. I guess what I meant was there are very few bottles of single malt that you can buy for under $20. I managed to find one last year, and then my friend got me a $40 bottle for my birthday.

It's just a question of time before somebody finds these Depeche Mode songs to be annoying...

It's a good thing I stopped. I don't want this becoming part of the "Dead Horse" thread. I currently read that one to stop depression and adding this to it would kill that buzz for me.

Blue, if you're depressed, CHUD is not the place for you. No, really. We're nice people, but you need to be around actual people you can see and touch. Otherwise, your feelings of isolation may increase.

Make sure you have permission to go out touching these people, though.

But Frank, what if Blue's problem is he doesn't have any friends to go out and interact with? That's kind of kicking the guy when he's down!

This is depressing to me. The best remedy would be for you to kill yourself.
But make sure you post a thread about it before you do, otherwise no one will know!

WG, just what are you implying? WHAT ARE YOU IMPLYING????
Um... I dunno if anyone else has noticed this or not, but Blue hasn't posted since his initial post.

Maybe he's dead already?

Oh God.

We killed him. We drove him to it.

Good job everyone. We're murderers.
