I was very excited to see the American Reunion movie. I saw American Pie just after college and remembered it was quite funny.
Jim, Michelle, Oz, Heather, Stifler reunite for their high school...
Line-up was announced over the weekend. I haven't actually seen a lot of the headliners live before. Last year was more fun than I care to admit, so this year should be a blast. Ticket prices went up though. Anyone else going?
Click on Jan Travolta's link and follow the signs. The line-up is too huge to really list. But the headliners include Radiohead, NIN, Kanye West, Rage Against The Machine. Other notables include Gnarls Barkley, Wilco, The Raconteurs, The Black Keys, Bloc Party, Lupe Fiasco, Stephen Malkmus... There at least half a dozen more that I'd be willing to check out too.
As much as I badly want to see Rage Against the Machine and Nine Inch Nails I could never afford a 200 dollar concert. I'll just continue to keep hoping that Rage will do a full tour.
I did too, but these new ones are pretty great, if you can afford it and... stomach the sometimes oppressive heat. Having a 3 day festival with this variety of bands is like a mini vacation/extra long party and I never have to leave my city. Plus, its in the most scenic part, not 100 miles in the middle of nowhere.
Pretty great stuff all around. Tickets prices kept going down all week until they were sold out.... then they shot back up. I managed to get my friend a 3-day pass for $100, which is a all-time low for me. New this year were the shaded hammock areas. Given that the show were so crowded, this was a big plus for those who can't handle the sheer mass of people.
Loved Radiohead (first time seeing them!) and Kanye. Stephen Malkmus was also great. The only real regret I had was missing Lupe. Again. Partied way too much though, I'm still recovering.
