This is extracted from my crappy blog:
Let me say that this game is unlike any RPG you have ever played.
great art style and the JPOP Music that plays is definately a unique twist, but gives you that Tokyo vibe. I'm also a "sucka" for JPOP music, so that gives it a 10 out of 10 in the audio department.
So what is so "supa Fresh" that makes me use really "Wack" slang words to describe the game?Well turns out the English translators decided every character in the game should talk this way as well. It's a little cringe-worthy, but we have 14 year old white boys in my neighborhood that talk the same way. So I guess the dialogue is "On-point".
As a left-handed stylus user, I'm at a disadvantage. This is the first game I have ever played where I'm looking at two screens at the same time and trying to move 2 different characters at the same time, using the stylus in my left hand and using the ABXY buttons with my right hand to move the second character. I think its impossible.
Luckily, I can let the second player run on Auto-play. I just wish I was "the Mack" and could actually have the dexterity to do both.
This game will probably be in the running for RPG of the year, just for the unique-ness alone. I'm only 45 minutes into the game, but I'm already sucked into this Tokyo world. Non-fantasy RPG's and Non-sci-fi RPG's are kind of a rare breed, so its definately worth checking out.
I would most notably compare it to Bleach in its action (similar to killing Hollows) and the anime Air Gear, for its anime/present day hip hop style.
I cant give it a score yet, but right now I'm just learning the ropes. .. and the submenus on how to level my player with the right clothing and Psych techniques.
