It's all fun and games until your your pet monkey touches a speaker.

That's great, but the above shot looks like he tossed it together over the weekend. My OCD wants to find his house and rearrange everything.

Might I suggest a door?

I bet the neighbors love the noise this makes.

He's got a dog? I highly doubt he gets to run around in there.

How does he get to the stuff on his walls?

That's what I'm saying!! It's like he bought it all, hooked it up, then lost interest in the whole thing and went outside to ride a bike.

I still prefer the batcave from that thread a couple months ago about home theaters.

I'm sure it looks and sounds terrific, but that room looks impractical as fuck.

Guy: Wanna watch Cars next?
Girl: Sure! Ratatouille was great!
Guy: Sweet, let me go an- *trips on speaker, gets electrocuted, 237 DVDs fall on his twitchy smoldering carcass*

So i guess when he really wants to blast it he just turns his volume up to 3.

I like this quote in the reader comments "Wow...someone has a lot of cash, and needs to be donating it to charity, not spending it on ridiculous "entertainment" systems." I mean who does this guy think he is?! spending his own money in any manner he wants! the nerve of some people.

Great stuff and all.
But this guy must live a rather lonely life. One couch with room for 3 Persons? For that system?
"Hey, I reckon I invite my only two friends over to watch a movie and have a real good time!"

Followed by huffing, puffing inflating noises.

I love the comments. Guy spent $6 mil on the system and everyone is saying the equipment sucks and giving tips on how he could have saved a couple thousand here or there.

The guy is a pretentious twat for having that many vinyls.

I don't know that I'd stop at the vinyls on this one.

I don't mean to be that guy but I'm gonna be. The system is completely impractical and a waste of money. First, there's not a lot of movies that mix in a sound studio that is better than that so it'll just highlight imperfections in the mix. Also, one person in a thousand will appreciate the sound quality that the system will give you and even then most would tell you it's overkill.

On the other hand, if his idea was to be the poster boy for conspicuous consumption, then he's succeeded. (I'm not saying he shouldn't have built the theatre, hell it's his money, but it does seem a little ostentatious for no discernible gain)

I think it's very telling of his origins.

I mean, who else would surround themselves with million dollar amps and speakers? People who have giant book shelves of vinyl records...
