While I'm not exactly the biggest Strong Bad fan I can't help but look forward to this. Plus, it's friggin' Telltale.

Wii only? Fuck that.

PC as well, I believe.

Sure. Take away my righteous indignation. I feel so empty now.

telltale is looking for people in the SF bay area to come in and playtest the games on an upcoming Saturday. Homestar fans and haters, wii and PC owners, enthusiasts and disguised reporters are all welcome to come to Telltale's office, check out the first episode, and tell us what rules/sucks. Sign up at the above URL if youre interested, and mention CHUD if you'd like.

Embargoed till release (which is apparently waiting on Nintendo to give the ok) but don't think they'd mind me telling you that this is one great game. Little more simplistic than Sam and Max but plenty funny. Can't wait for the rest.

Comes out today! 10 bucks on PC or WiiWare. Definitely worth it.

I put in my order for the whole shebang. Been a fan of Homestar Runner for years and this looks like a big ton of fun. First Sam & Max and now Strong Bad, Telltale is making some of the best games right now.

Looking forward to playing this. I'll have to make some room on the Wii first, though.

Second episode's out today. Anyone play these yet?

I got the email from Telltale, but I just can't bring myself to do it. I haven't even gotten around to Season 2 of S&M yet.

I'm still working on Episode 1. It's amusing. Not a ton of "game" to it early on-- more like an interactive cartoon with a few minigames thrown in (Snake Puncher 3, for example, and a sequence where you get to assemble a TEEN GIRLSQUAD cartoon).

The conversation trees are icon-based, so you don't know exactly what you're going to say before you pick. Plenty of hilarious dialogue, of course, and there are usually at least a couple of alternate lines for every choice, so it doesn't get stale unless you really repeat choices a lot.

We'll see how compelled I am to continue after Episode 1. I have heard that 2 is the best so far, so I'll probably have to get that one.

I played and beat Episode 1 last month. Definitely recommended if you're a H*R fan. Otherwise it's hard to say, only because I have no idea how the humor would come across to someone completely unfamiliar with it.

While the game was neither difficult nor long, I thought the puzzle logic was much closer in spirit to the old LucasArts games than anything I've played recently, including Sam & Max. It's kind of a hard thing to put your finger on, but I wasn't surprised to learn the episode was co-written by Mike Stemmle, one of the main dudes on the LucasArts classics.
