Where to begin with Richard Price

I went to a recital hall reading with my pops tonight given by Richard Price at the University at Albany. I'm only slightly familiar with the man's work (as in I watched Clockers about 10 years ago) and I'd really love to get started reading him, but I'm not sure where to begin. He read a few passages from Lush Life and I liked what I heard, but I'd like to start with his earlier writings before diving into his newer stuff. I was going to ask the man himself where he thought a Richard Price novice should begin, but the Q&A portion ended before I could get the question out. I know there are some fans of his 'round these parts, any recommendations?

Side note: at the reading my dad and I sat behind William Kennedy. Pretty fuckin' cool night.

Definitely start with THE WANDERERS.

I liked everything he did until Freedomland. The Wanderers is a great one, as is Clockers.

Good enough. I was planning on starting with The Wanderers anyway, as that was the general consensus I got when researching his stuff, but I thought I'd just get a quick survey here anyway. The Wanderers it is. Thanks gentlemen.
