Rare, Out-of-Print, and Unreleased Horror Music, Spooky Tracks, and Weird Audio Stuff

Was digging around the net and came upon this guy's blog and this one. I linked to the month with the most Creature-Corner related stuff, but there's a bunch of gems on other entries as well.

Christopher Lee reads Poe and the Lovecraft radio stuff are particularly great, and the ancient "Halloween spooky sounds" LPs are a fun blast from the past. Awesome stuff to fill my media player with.

Have fun! And feel free to post your own findings here (keep it stuff that won't get CHUD into trouble). There's a ton of links to other great and weird blogs and spooky sites there in these links.

EDIT: Much more...

It's like a neverending treasure trove. I'm also a sucker for old-school Monster Mashy surf and rockabilly.

If anyone knows where I can get Lovecraft's 'The Dunwich Horror/The Rats in the Walls' as read by David McCallum, I'll fellate them until 'the stars are right'.

That could be a long time. . .

Some more stuff (look through previous months for hidden gems). There's also a ton of Creepy and Eerie (EDIT: and Vampirella) covers posted as well.

Anyone know where the library music from Night Of The Living Dead (also used in Teenagers from Outer Space, Killer Shrews, and various episodes of Ren & Stimpy) can be found?

Here's this, but I'll look for a version sans-dialogue.

Ren & Stimpy production music.

I'm glad you liked my blog Darkmites.

Graham - There's a guy who has several McCallum reading CD-Rs on ebay right now. I just posted McCallum reading "The Dunwich Horror" HERE

Holy crap! Where has this thread been hiding. Love the blog (what little I've been able to pick through so far).

Thanks. I came across this forum and thread while I was looking for a copy of the "Roddy McDowall Reading H. P. Lovecraft" LP. I just happened to see my blog mentioned so I joined. Great forum. Thanks.

Ermmm, ehhharr, slurp,,,gulp...nom,nom...

Sorry,...hard to type with my mouth full.

Cheers for that!

Edit...Just downloaded both side of the LP and it's DEFINITELY what I remember (the pops and scratches kind of add to the ambience)...Wow, a TRUE time-travel trip.
Thanks again!

{You don't get fellation till the stars are right, though...just until they're slightly ascew [having only provided one of two]...Kevin Smith will take over in a moment...}

Right on. Thanks for sharing.

Grabbed the nostalgia-inducing Hobbit records for my daughter to hear (on your other blog). We've been reading the book I managed to save from my childhood (she's a huge R/B Hobbit fan like her old man), but alas didn't have the audio... until now!

Seriously, if anyone has any space on their Ipod and a straight hour to spend listening, THIS, is a fine introduction to Lovecraft, and one of his best stories, too.

I find McCallum's reading better than my own internal-voices.
If you've never gotten into a Lovecraft tale because of his verbosity you really should give this a whirl...
...seriously.

Sorry. Due to an Internet Troll seeing to it my blog got deleted I had to relocate my sharing to a forum where I am able to hide the music sharing areas for Permisssion Only Access. If anyone from here wnats access then register with Yuku, and leave me a PM telling me your user name from this forum. Sorry if this is kind of spammy sounding.

Yeah, I did notice. It's a shame. I think I did get access to that forum, but couldn't figure out where the music was sitting. Thanks for the update!

That's because I have access to them by Invite only. What is your Yuku User Name?

I believe it's "darkmite8", but it's been a couple months.

I"m showing you should have access to the music sharing areas. There are 4of them near the center of the forum index page (Mostly Ghostly, Children's Records, Christmas Shario and Miscellaneous).

Ah, it must have just been before you got all this stuff up there. Like I said, it was a few months back when I last visited. Thanks for the reminder! I'll be checking it out.

I've just been able to acquire a copy of the David McCallum "Dracula" LP. So now I have that, plus his reading of "Dunwich Horror", and Roddy McDowaal's H P Lovecraft LP. You can find them all at my forum mentioned above.

Some very cool linkage here, guys.

Does anyone else have Bernard Herrmann's Outer Space Suite LP?
