In no particular order:

- The House of Mirth
- Bean
- Highlander 2: The Quickening
- Highlander: The Source
- The Godfather Part III
- AVP:R
- Wild Wild West
- Runaway Bride
- Any Which Way You Can
- Speed 2: Cruise Control

Those are what came to mind off of the top of my head. There might be others that I've blanked out that would make an actual 'Top 10' list.

In no particular order, except for Southland Tales, which earned its Number One spot with flying colors:

10) Van Helsing (biggest waste of potential ever? Perhaps.)
9) Aliens Vs Predator: Requiem
8) Raging Sharks
7) The Covenant
6) Desert Heat (aka Inferno, a Jean Claude Van Damme DTV triumph)
5) Starship Troopers 2
4) Resident Evil: Apocalypse
3) Day of the Dead (2008 Nick Cannon version)
2) Date Movie (utterly excruciating.)
1) Southland Tales

Dishonorable Mentions: Halloween Resurrection and Superman IV: The Quest for Peace

Yojimbo is my second favorite Kurosawa film. I know people's tastes all differ, but I don't see how this is possible.

Aliens bored me.

Anyways, I dunno about Top 10, but some of the worst movies I've seen are:

Ultraviolet
Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever
Resident Evil: Apocalypse
Double Team
Sugar & Spice
Scary Movie 2

The Haunting (1999)
The New Guy
Saw (bored me to tears so much I've never seen any of the sequels)
Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (even though Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft is perfect casting)

Christ, I know there's tons more, but these are what come to mind immediately.

Across The Universe
The Haunting(1999)
Leprechaun 4
Robot Monster
Battlefield Earth
Rob Zombie's Halloween
Epic Movie
House of the Dead
Turistas
Terror Toons

Edited because I forgot about Across the Universe.

I can't resist the call of a bad horror movie. I live in regret.

10. Army of Darkness - Yeah, I went there.

9. Southland Tales - Obligatory mention. Kind of amazing in its awfulness.

8. Split - Weird late eighties trip movie. I couldn't even make it long enough for the acid to kick in.

7. Spun - I liked the acoustic version of Number of the Beast played during the opening credits. The rest made me want to scrub myself with a scouring pad. And I've seen Gummo...twice!

6. Blue Sunshine - Starring Zalman King! I'll let the IMDB synopsis speak for this one...
Quote:
A group of college kids who took some experimental LSD suffer the side effects ten years later. One by one, their hair falls out and they go into a homicidal psychotic state of mind.
5. Begotten - I'm interested if there is anyone out there who has actually sat through this entire film. Interesting for about five minutes before becoming an excruciatingly painful bore.

4. Spawn - You'd think a movie made by a group of special effects artists could at least have good special effects. You'd be wrong.

3. Saturday the 14th - One of those flicks I adored as a kid. Watched it recently. I was a stupid kid.

2. Howling II...Your Sister is A Werewolf -I bet even Sybil Danning's tits were embarrassed to have appeared in this film.

1. Mac and Me - Fucking Hell. I don't want to get into the particulars of why I was forced to sit through this. But, yes, I've seen it in it's entirety.

Some Mac and Me vids:

Mcdonald's Dance Number

The Trailer

Wheelchair Scene

I'm sure there are worse films out there I've seen, but these were just some of the first offenders to pop into my head.
I can't even think of a list, and a lot of the films you guys are listing at the very least have a redeeming moment or two(or are so terrible that they're kind of good).

The films that piss me off most are the saccharine family-friendly "comedies" that are totally void of creativity or humor, and tend to go on to make a whole fuck-ton of money. An example would be the Steve Martin Cheaper by the Dozen remake.

I can't believe I sat through the entire movie.

Really? Blue Sunshine? You obvilously don't watch a lot of '60/'70s b-horror. I'm not sure you have any idea how bad it can get if that was bottom of your barrell.

I know exactly how bad it can get. This has to do with context. I could pick any random, ineptly made horror or sci-fi film (which would constitute an innumerable amount of the films I've seen) to put in Blue Sunshine's place. But Blue Sunshine fits into the same category as Split: a movie I had to suffer through because it had a tenuous association with drug use. These tend to constitute the worst movie watching experiences for me. You've partaken of illegal substances, resigned to set back and enjoy yourself, and suddenly your fellow mind expanding drug enthusiast friends just have to spring their latest film or music acquisitions upon you. You're trapped. Sure, you can run to the other room, possibly build a pillow fort, or grab the nearest cat and hide in the closet, but usually you just set back and hope that what ever it is you now have to watch is interesting or at least visually stimulating. With Blue Sunshine, I found neither. I had heard of it, and was aware that it had a bit of a cult following, but what I got was just a boring thriller with bad acid as the culprit and some murderous ex-hippies in bald caps. That last part may sound interesting, but no, not even.

The movie's major crime and why I put it on my list? Because it brought me down, man. It brought me down.

1. The Avengers - Proving that not all 60's TV shows need to make it to film

2. My own Private Idaho - Thankfully I can't remember much about it now except I really hated it.

3. Underworld - let’s make a movie about Vampires and Werewolves and remove everything cool about them.

4. Van Helsing - see above, plus let’s ignore the rules we previously set up in this film to advance the (non existent) plot.

5. Masters of the Universe - Dolph had one line he had to get right and he screwed it up.

6. Kate a Leopold - I blame my fiancé for having to sit through this dreck.

7. Justice League the TV movie - Staring the Turquoise lantern that never used his ring.

8. Very bad things - I didn't find it funny and was sat in a room full of people who did.

9. Big Momma's house - Again my Fiancé’s fault.

10. Peter Jackson's King Kong. It probably didn’t help I saw the 1933 one for the first time 2 days before seeing it.

I'm kind of curious about this opinion, Patrick. Think you could elaborate on it?
A lot of the films mentioned here I can't not agree with and as such my list is all but defunct. There is one film that I must mention though. How it got made, I will never know. How it got made with a budget of $100 million is fucking beyond me. But it starts and it gets worse... and worse... and worse. And has zero redeeming features for a film of its size. That film:

Lost In Space (1998)

Sorry, one redeeming feature - it killed Matt LeBlanc's film career.
I tend to do some research on a film before I sit down and watch it, and have actually had a pretty good streak of avoiding shitty movies. However, every once in awhile a film will make it through the cracks and I'll wind up watching it. It should be noted that most bad films I see, I forget about them right away, so a lot of these movies are a bit more recent than I'd like to admit. In no particular order:

1) Lucky Number Slevin
2) Gone in 60 Seconds (2000)
3) Die Another Day
4) The Longest Yard (2005)
5) Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
6) The Ring Two
7) Adam Sandler's Eight Crazy Nights
8) King Arthur
9) The Mummy Returns (my pick for "First Time I Realized Movies Could Suck")
10) Napoleon Dynamite

Have at you, sir!

Seriously, AOD has too many things going for it to let it qualify as a terrible movie. It has a cheeky sense of humor, great creature effects, and an irresistible sense of fun. Further, it's a film that loves its medium. With loving homages from everything to [b]Return of the Jedi[/i] to The Seven Samurai to The Rifleman, AoD loves the moving picture and isn't afraid to let it show.

Now, gimme some sugar, baby!
Wing Commander certainly deserves that mention.

I don't have a top 10 really, since i've been desensitized to crap due to the influx of sequels we've had recently.

Still, Resident Evil 3 really did suck all kinds of ass.

EDIT: Oh, and I hate the Scary Movie, Epic Movie, Not another... etc franchise. Each and every one of them.
Wow, there are a lot of really bad picks on this thread.
In no particular order:

1. Something's Gotta Give - Okay, I lied. Anyone who knows me around here knows that this piece of shit will always be at the top of my most hated list. The rest are really in no particular order this time, swear to God.
2. Jaws 4
3. Stakeout
4. The Rage: Carrie II - Not my idea. My friend Delilah's idea. Blame her.
5. Lost in Space (1998) - Also not my idea. My then-boyfriend Jim's idea. Blame him.
6. The Devil's Rain. Can something be a slapdash medley of hilarity and still be bad? Okay then.
7. Days of Thunder
8. Godfather III
9. Play it to the Bone
10. Failure to Launch
Days of Thunder really doesn't belong here. Far and Away, sure but not The Adventures of Cole Trickle.

Not a single likable character. You could say that is the joke, but even in a slapstick/horror/adventure I'd appreciate at least one character to root for. It's also a sloppy movie. The script is barely there. The creature effects are uninspired and poorly shot, and the visual effects suffer far worse. And where is the humor? I always hear Ash's lines quoted back to me, but are they funny? Raimi's humor has always been hit or miss for me, but here it falls flat throughout the entire film. This movie is an asshole. That's the only way I can describe it. It's like the only way Sam could continue to have fun with the franchise was to be in complete contempt of it.

I've had an odd relationship with this movie over the years. My first viewing, I was incredibly disappointed. Slowly, though, I realized I was making the mistake of judging it as a continuation of part II. All three films are meant to have their own identity and be completely separate in tone and intent, so I softened my views of it. Maybe it wasn't as bad as I remembered. I mean, it's so quotable, right? But no, it is that bad, and that's judging it simply on its own. The geek love for it continues to baffle me.

You might want to hunt for the thread under key-words or title, Rath. First of all, it blows so badly, I don't think anyone else saw it, so it should be easy to find. Second of all, getting me to type that out all over again just releases more rage, and no one wants that. But let me know if you can't find any of my prior rants, and if that's the case, I'll re-rant again. I'm sure that my bitching about that movie is getting old, though. But put up yours about We Are Marshall, I'll listen.
I tend to avoid bad movies as much as I possibly can so these are a mix of out and out bad films and films which just didn't work for me personally.

1) Aliens
2) The Simpsons Movie
3) Terminator 2
4) Avengers
5) Ley Lines
6) The Machinist
7) Equilibrium
8) The Prestige
9) Garden State
10)Independence Day
Oh and

11) 300

Seriously, the film has fantastic production values but its tone and core ethos are so disgustingly nasty and vindictive that I can't help but feel scorn for it.
1. Zombie Lake
2. Robot Holocaust
3. House of The Dead
4. Cannibal Holocaust
5. Batman Forever
6. Coyote Ugly
7. Double Team
8. Flesh for the Beast
9. Hellraiser VI: Hellseeker
10. Ice from the Sun

I've got more, but those are some of the worst movies I've ever seen. The first two are the absolute worst movies ever made, ever.
Some of the films on my list are movies I saw as a kid that burned into my brain, especially Frankenstein Island -- this was back at the beginning of the video tape boom and I remember it being one of the first videos we ever rented. God knows why. And Hog Wild ran on HBO or Cinemax all the time when I was in junior high, you couldn't get away from it, although you certainly wanted to. As for King Solomon's Mines, well, the trailers looked okay and my dad and I went to the movies pretty much every Saturday and this was the pick that week. Our relationship survived.

Forgot to mention A*P*E. Maybe because my brain is protecting me from the memory.

Cannibal Holocaust! Cannibal Holocaust! No! NO!
Ah, I can see hating that movie.

I spent my three years of college (ok, tech school) bleeding Phoenix dry of horror films. I've seen more Jesus Franco, Bruno Mattei, and Jean Rollin films then I'd like to admit, so my 'worst' list would be pretty boring. I can think of a few movies that really pissed me off recently though:

Mysitc River
Buffalo 66
Babel (now there's a socially irresposible film)
I often remind people they haven't seen bad films.

I have dipped from the bottom of the barrel and will easily tell people that movie wasn't that bad.

Yeah, I know. If you prefer Alien, that's fine, but to consider it a terrible film and include it on a "worst-of" is bullshit.

I'm also baffled by how a couple people have listed Godfather III. It's nowhere near the first two, but Pacino & Garcia's performances and the final forty minutes make it above-average in my book.
