Okay, who has seen them?

Thread Starter
I know lots of big horror movies fans. We talk about everything from silent movie classics all the way to the remakes Hollywood insists that we need nowadays. Through all of those discussions, I've yet to meet anyone who has seen either all the Howling or Children of the Corn movies.

I think there are seven Corn movies, but I'm not completely sure. To my knowledge, there are six Howling movies.

I like the first Howling. I hate the fourth and sixth ones, but I've never seen the rest. I've only seen the first and third Corn movies and hated them both.

So, has anyone here seen all the films for one (or both) of these franchises?
I have the same question about the Hellraiser flicks. Are any of the ones after Bloodline(which sucked but was better than 3) worth a shit?
I own Howling 1-6 on DVD, but refuse to own #7. Saw it about 10 years back on VHS (when I worked at a Blockbuster in college) and it just recycles footage from the rest of the series, and not in a creative way either. It doesn't really have a werewolf, but it does have "werewolf vision". Utterly terrible.

So, YES, I have seen them all. Disclaimer: I love werewolf flicks, and have a low set of standards.

HOWLING 1: is great
HOWLING 2: is its inferior exploitation cousin, wannabe Hammer/Amicus in tone
HOWLING 3: is loads of weird fun= werewolf nuns/marsupial werewolf baby/ballerina werewolf... nuff said
HOWLING 4: kind of an uninspired retread of the 1st one
HOWLING 5: "10 Little Indians" murder-mystery style story, wannabe Hammer/Amicus in tone
HOWLING 6: great premise, lackluster execution. werewolf effects too cave-manish
HOWLING 7 (New Moon Rising): P.O.S. avoid...

Inferno and Hellseeker are essentially the same movie, and neither are particularly good, but I'd say there's a chance you might find them entertaining. The movies do definitely get better when Pinhead is on screen.

I haven't checked out Deader or Hellworld. I kinda want to see Hellworld for the Henrikson factor.
If there is someone out there who's seen all of either of these series, that's the most masochistic thing I've ever heard of.

I love the first Howling, but the second one put me off the series right quick. I caught part IV on TV one weekend, *I accidentally retread what Darkmite says, then he answers my question*.
I've only seen the first Children of The Corn, and all I remember was being very bored until a demon tornado shows up. Or something. I was 7.

The third one sounds like fun. I've always wanted to see the second one because it has Christopher Lee in it and the title is cool. I didn't even know there was a seventh film.

Well, we found someone who has seen the Howling flicks. Any one out there see all the Corn movies? I have a feeling this will be harder. There are a lot of werewolf fans out there, but how many corn field monster movie fans are lurking on CC?

Beware. It's a trap.

When I saw the topic title, I figured this thread would be about ghost sightings. Oh well.

Has anyone seen all the Amityville Horror films?

Amityville Horror (1979)
Amityville II: The Possession (1982)
Amityville 3-D (1983)
Amityville: The Evil Escapes (1989) (TV)
The Amityville Curse (1990) (V)
Amityville 1992: It's About Time (1992) (V)
Amityville: A New Generation (1993) (V)
Amityville: Dollhouse (1996) (V)

I've seen the first two Amityville movies, parts of the third one years ago and the remake.

I don't think I can muster up the energy to watch the rest of them

I have to admit, completing a series gives me a sense of achievement. It's why I want to see TCM 3 and Next Generation, Leprechaun back 2 da Hood, Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, and Jaws 3.

Well, I've seen all those movies, except the Leprechaun one (it's the only one of that franchise I've yet to see). Trust me, watching those films might get a little painful.

It's a very enticing trap. That movie seems to be on TV every other week, and it's been that way for a few years now. It's calling me.

Given how utterly dreadful CotC 2 and 3 were, I can't see why anyone would particularly want to check out those after it.

While Inferno and Hellseeker were a weakened direction for the franchise, at least they still contained some remainents of the Hellraiser universe. Deader and Hellworld have nothing at all to do with Hellraiser other than having paid a license fee to use the name, and are best avoided.

I think I've seen most of the Howling pics (it's been so long ago - and I am tempted to revisit Howling 2 again). Children of the Corn I made it through the first 2 or 3, and with Hellraiser I punched out after Bloodline. Direct to video/DVD sequels raise too much of a red flag in terms of quality storytelling and effects that, after being burned so often when I was younger, I'm automatically repulsed when I see a number after a title. More often than not, I found that after the first sequel (maybe the second, and that's a big maybe), there's very little to really explore storywise.

I'm curious about the Scifi Channel PUMPKINHEAD and NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD sequels. They're on my list of things to check out. Mainly because I like to punish myself... and I like the original ones an awful lot.

And see post 3, where I mention my low standards. No delusion here.

Boring and Boringer.
I've seen all the Hellraiser films. The first three entertained me. Bloodline was kind of weak. The rest just feel like standalone films with a Pinhead cameo at the end. The one with Ashley Laurence was particularly dissapointing I was hoping for a return to the Kirstey-Pinhead saga and instead got more of the same from the other DTV sequels.

I have seen the first three "Howling" movies many times. I caught the fourth a long time ago and was bored out of my skull. I remember catching pieces of Five when it was on TV, a long ass time ago. Didn't see the others.

Well, it looks like it's damn near impossible to find someone who has seen all the Children of the Corn movies. There has to be someone out there, though. There just has to be.

I mean, these movies kept getting made for a reason, right? Tax write-off reasons, perhaps?

After reading Devin's article on fanboys, it made me wonder if this series actually has fanboys of its own. I think I'd die of laughter if I discovered there's a Children of the Corn message board out there with people discussing what should be the plot of the eigth installment.

I assume a lot of pot is going to be smoked during these viewings.

Well, if you must witness the lump known as Howling II, see it uncut. You don't want to miss one single needlessly repeated frame of Sybil Danning ripping her top off. Yes, I love boobs and I did say "needlessly". The werewolf orgy was laughably bad, even in my early adolescence. And as a lifelong Lee fan, I was horrified and embarassed for him.

It'll redefine "bad" in your brain. At least Highlander II had some production value.

I notice nobody has mentioned Leprechaun In Space yet.

That's probably the main reason why I've been hesitating on re-watching Howling 2. The fact that Christopher Lee is lowering himself to appear in this flick... criminal. I'm also disappointed that he wasn't in more stuff prior to Lord of The Rings (although he did rock the house in Gremlins 2 - "Malaria. I already have malaria").

He doesn't do his rhyming dialouge in that one, it's barely even canon.

Guilty as charged. I'm a glutton when it comes to the Amityville movies, so I guess that means I'm a glutton for punishment.

Probably in here.

Just changed my user title, so we're clear.
I've seen all these.

House
House II: the Second Story
House III: The Horror Show
House IV

They really fucked up by not having someone from Cheers appear in the last two. They could've at least gotten Rhea Perlman.

I'm liking the new title. Are you as amped as I am to see the new Wolf Man movie? Looks like Hollywood is primed to give werewolf fans something really good.

1 & 2 are great (have the double-feature DVD), but I honestly couldn't tell you what I've seen of 3 & 4. I remember a woman with a kid...

I've seen all Children of the Corn flicks, all Hellraisers, all Pumpkinheads and 4 of the 6 Leprechaun flicks.

Has anyone actually dared to see

Ghoulies 1-4 or Puppet Masters 1-9 ? In words: nine. NINE. There are nine Puppet Master movies. There must be an audience, somewhere.

I'm a Full Moon fan, but not even I have seen all of those. Probably about 1/2 of both franchises.

But I do own all of the CRITTERS (New Line), TRANCERS, and SUBSPECIES flicks (and GHOULIES 1 & 2, TROLL 1 & 2 MGM double-features).

I've been holding off on buying NIGHTMARE ON ELM ST., thinking they'll put together a new boxset with the spec. ed. version of 1. Maybe I should just dig up the old set, and just replace #1 with the new version.

I've seen the Ghoulies movies. With the exception of number 3, they are all very terrible.

Buy that box set. Despite the interactive DVD game, the bonus disc is chock full of awesome. Plus, it has the 3-D glasses for Freddy's Dead.

Does that include Puppet Master vs. Demonic Toys, because I saw the fuck out of that Cory Feldman starring vehicle.

Puppet Master (1989)
Puppet Master II (1991)
Puppet Master III: Toulon's Revenge (1991)
Puppet Master 4 (1993)
Puppet Master 5: The Final Chapter (1994)
Curse of the Puppet Master (1998)
Retro Puppet Master (1999)
Puppet Master: The Legacy (2004) (V)
Puppet Master vs Demonic Toys (2004) (TV)

To flip the script, I've never seen even a ONE of the Puppet Master movies. It makes me sad because if I was 14 again I bet I'd love nothing more than possessed nazi flamethrower puppets (I'm under the impression that there's something like that going on there?).

EDIT/Unless there are more than 7 movies in the Where the Boys Aren't series, I think I've seen all of those...

PROM NIGHT (1980)
HELLO MARY LOU: PROM NIGHT II (1987)
PROM NIGHT III: THE LAST KISS (1990)
PROM NIGHT IV: DELIVER US FROM EVIL (1992)

I gave the first a free pass only for Jamie Lee and Leslie Nielsen's disco dance floor moment. No. 2 is a black comedy, and surprisingly pretty funny. Never bothered with the rest. Can anyone weigh in?

THE CURSE (1987)
CURSE II: THE BITE (1988)
CURSE III: BLOOD SACRIFICE (1991)

I've never seen any of these. The first was based on an H.P. Lovecraft story. From what I've read Christopher Lee embarrasses himself (once again) in the third.
i saw the first 3 Prom Nights and 3 is kinda like 2 but way more B rated and funny too, espically when the jock took mary lou to the football field and she threw the football at him and it turned into a drill LOL.

I saw Curse 2 and if i remember that is where a snake bites the dude in the arm and his arm turns into a snake. this snake had a mind of its own and would not bite people but more like shove itself down people's throats. never saw 1 or 3.

Watchers
Watchers 2
Watchers 3
Watchers 4

i really enjoyed 1 and 2. 2 was more like the book but still enjoyed them. 3 was kinda like Predator with a dog and only saw bit's with 4 with Mark Hamil.

I've only ever seen the fourth one, Watchers Reborn, because it was the most recent one when I started my Koontz kick. It was enough to kill my interest in checking out the past three.

Also, let's not forget these gems:

Sometimes They Come Back (1991)
Sometimes They Come Back… Again (1996)
Sometimes They Come Back… for More (1999)

Waxwork (1988)
Waxwork II: Lost in Time (1992)

And the winner:

Witchcraft (1988)
Witchcraft II: The Temptress (1990)
Witchcraft III: The Kiss of Death (1991)
Witchcraft IV: The Virgin Heart (1992)
Witchcraft V: Dance with the Devil (1993)
Witchcraft VI (1994)
Witchcraft 7: Judgement Hour (1995)
Witchcraft 8: Salem's Ghost (1996)
Witchcraft IX: Bitter Flesh (1997)
Witchcraft X: Mistress of the Craft (1998)
Witchcraft XI: Sisters in Blood (2000)
Witchcraft XII: In the Lair of the Serpent (2002)
Witchcraft 13: Blood of the Chosen (2008)

I'd seriously consider giving $1,300 to whoever sits through all those in a row. Okay, maybe a break somewhere in there... which one has a cliffhanger ending?

Ernest Goes to Camp (1987)
Ernest Saves Christmas (1988)
Ernest Goes to Jail (1990)
Ernest Scared Stupid (1991)
Ernest Rides Again (1993)
Ernest Goes to School (1994)
Slam Dunk Ernest (1995)
Ernest Goes to Africa (1997)
Ernest in the Army (1998)

I've seen the first three. Ernest Goes to Jail is the best.

The Love Bug (Dean Jones version)
Herbie Rides Again
Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo
Herbie Goes Bananas
The Love Bug
(Bruce Campbell version)
The Love Bug (Lindsay Lohan version)
I was a huge Herbie fan as a child, so I've seen all of the original films, as well as the short-lived TV series Herbie the Matchmaker (with Dean Jones). It's been almost 25 years, though, so I couldn't tell you much about any of them.

The Lindsay Lohan film (HERBIE: FULLY LOADED, not a remake of THE LOVE BUG) I actually saw in a theater...and enjoyed. Missed the Campbell remake.

Bring It On IV: All or Nothing. Pretty much the dumbest movie I've ever seen. Must watch.
