Cable is an offensive guy. He was their o-line coach, before he became the interim HC, and he also took over the offensive playcalling for the last five games of the season.

As for Garrett, he can't make a lateral move to another team, unless Jerry Jones lets him out of his contract. Garrett wouldn't do that in a million years, anyways. He's getting paid reportedly $3 mil a year as OC for the Cowboys. If Rex Ryan lands the HC job in NY, he will probably sign a contract similar to Spags, which is a little less then $3 mil a season. You won't be seeing Garrett making that kind of money there.

COME ON EAGLES!!!!

BACK TO BACK PARADES.

Don't you guys know anything about curses? A city gets swamped with championships once a sports curse is lifted. Boston won the Superbowl (I know they won before the 2004 sox), the NBA title, and the World Series again.

Its simple science
Phillies never had a curse as they had a championship in 1980.

Agreed except for movie trailers debuting during the game.

I don't know who to root for in the bird game. I feel for Donovan as he is forever shit on and I'd like to see him shove it in his doubters' faces, but Arizona is a great story too.

And oh look, Fitzgerald just scored.

The Whole city of Philadelphia had a curse from June 1983 to Octobr 2008.

The Game: ROURKE CHRIST, DO WE HAVE A DEFENSE!?

I WILL NOT TOLERATE ANOTHER SHITTSBURGH SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONSHIP THIS DECADE!

I see them having a hard time to get up emotionally for this game after the week of local and national adulation they received over the past seven days.
Wow man, you really suck at picking these things.
That was a pretty sick move Fitzgerald just pulled for the TD.
This is such bullshit. The curse was over...Donovan ran a little today.

What happened? Why does god hate Philly and love Pittsburgh?
NFL officiating sucks balls. Seriously.

And this is from someone who could give less of a shit about today's turnout.
At least our team blew it in the NFC championship game instead of the superbowl. I just hope the AFC team wins the Superbowl.

I don't want another "We would have won the championship if we werent upset" thing to happen like what happened with us and
Tampa Bay at the Vet's last game.

C'mon Cards! Make The Ravens/cardinals Schadenfreude Bowl A Reality!
This game ain't over yet.

Just because a team, or a city, doesn't win doesn't equal a curse.

25 years isn't that long considering Philly teams didn't put any great teams on the field in that span.
I don't get coach clock management sometimes. It seemed like the Cards were trying to milk the clock on that last drive once they got into scoring position; which would only accomplish giving them less time if the Eagles score in the final 3 minutes. If that screen hadn't worked, they would have given themselves only one shot at the end zone and the Eagles would've only needed a FG to win.
Anybody want to venture a guess as to whether Andy Reid is finally on his way out of Philly now?
Is another superbowl ring in the Cards...for Kurt Warner?

Well not if they play like that second half against the Steelers or the Ravens. But good game!

Scratch one more team off the "Never Been to the Super Bowl" list. Condolences to the Lions, Browns, Saints, Jaguars and Texans for losing a member of the family.

Our owner is one of the most hands off owners in the league. Reid will be our couch for at least another 3-4 years. Donovan bought himself a year or two with his playoff run this year. Kolb sucks ass.

They should fire him. They need to hire a new offensive minded coach, preferably from the NFC east (because he already knows the division so well). Not a retread, either. Get a first time head coach. Maybe a guy who used to be a back up quarterback. They need to hire a real intelligent guy, perhaps an ivy league graduate. And definitely someone born in Pennsylvania.
I have to say I'm tickled pink by the results of the 2008 NFC Championship game.
The Arizona Cardinals?!!

Are you FUCKING kidding me?!!!!!

I usually pull for the underdogs but the way that these scrubs played the last few weeks of the regular season really makes me hate them (plus, they beat my Falcons in the first round).

And the first person that blames McNabb for the loss needs to be smacked, HARD. 375 Yds, 3 TDs to 1 Int wasn't the problem; letting Kurt Warner march all over the Phillie defense was the killer.
I get the rule, but it seems kind of retarded that that's not considered a catch.

Those scrubs are now the 2008-09 NFC Champions.

Yeah, they won the games that mattered.
Steelers are up now early.

Why bust your ass when you've already sewn your division up? Put in the backups, keep your principals healthy.

C'mon, Ravens! I want a Super Bowl that makes a maximum amount of people whine like babies (although if the Steelers go on and the Cardinals wind up beating them, the resulting keening wail of despair will be just as sweet).
I may not like the Cardinals but I do admit that they have earned their way to the Super Bowl. Their coaches implemented some great game plans and the team executed the plans perfectly. I don't like them but I also can't say that they got lucky. They have inexplicably played crazy good the past 3 weeks.
I suppose that's why Sweed was inactive for a portion of the season.
Guy didn't even touch the punter. What a job. Jeez.

EDIT: at least the Steelers didn't score off of it.
Wow. That could be a game changer.
Bad clock management, what a surprise.
It will be a...Cardinal Sin if Arizona doesn't win...Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa Bay, 2 sundays from today.
The refs haven't helped. That roughing call was a partial payback for the shitty calls they've already made to keep Baltimore in the game. Sweed cost them 10 points--7 for the dropped TD, and 3 for losing the timeout so they could kick a FG.
Well I can guarantee this referee will never work an NFL game ever again, Martianman...
Sweed earned three points back.
Fucking ouch.
That was one of those hits where it hurts just to watch it.
Shit. That looked bad.
Wasn't Clark the one who launched at Wes Welker as well? Not saying it's dirty, but when you launch yourself at someone, this is the crap that happens.. to both players.
Steelers win two superbowls this decade.
Well he turned up the field and saw Clark at the last moment, but by then they were both moving with such momentum it didn't matter how they hit each other, it was going to hurt.
Man, I really hope he's okay. Whenever you see players kneeling in prayer, it's not a good sign. Ray Lewis has been praying for about five minutes now.
Yeah, I hate the Ravens, but I never want to see a guy from any team carted off like that. And yes, it was Clark that nailed Welker as well, and he dislocated his own shoulder in the process.
well, looks like the Steelers are going back to the Super Bowl...but this time they get to play a team with an offense.

So if the last Super Bowl was one for the thumb, what is this one? one for the penis?
And Joe Flacco hits the rookie wall. GO STEELERS!
Fuck the Steelers. I'm looking forward to Arizona putting them down in 2 weeks.
Screw all you Steeler haters. Hating on a family run franchise that actually does things that benefit the local economy over their own bottom line. Must be because your team lost to them too many times.
