Yeah, my daughter stayed up late and was watching the game with me--when Garnett was up to be interviewed I decided it would be best to hit mute for a minute.

Loved the moment between Garnett and Bill Russell.

That's the problem with Kobe: he's great when you're winning. Other than that, he's a a headcase.

Kobe never started the MJ comparison that's a complete ESPN-era creation
I don't think you understand the game. And Kobe fed off the comparison for years.

Never ever thought I'd see Phil Jackson get out-coached like this.

Congrats Celtics! You earned it! (As a longtime sports fan with the passion mostly gone, I surprised myself by choking up a bit during the celebration. Past controversies aside, this franchise represents everything pure/ historic about the game--Also, is there anyone who doesn't like KG?)

Jackson is a lot more light than heat. He's coached some of the most potent line-ups in the history of the NBA. Almost anyone could win with some of his past teams.

That was one of the most enjoyable games I've seen in years.

I, for one, am hopeful KG will finally get some rest. I'm pretty sure he hasn't slept in like two weeks.

Yeah. I always wondered what it would have been like to watch Game 6 of the '86 Finals live, where Boston just steamrolls their opponent and the second half is just a party with a raucous crowd. Now I know.

Bonus points for Ray Allen having an NBA Jam kind of night. I half expected the PA announcer to yell 'He's on fire!' after the last of those threes.

Seriously, if I was a Laker fan, I'd be pretty pissed. It seemed like they hit their 'no mas' moment after that second quarter run and it was just counting down the clock after that.

Didn't Pierce and Garnett corner him at the All-Star party in New Orleans and sell him on Boston? That was the story I kept hearing...

Yeah, and Kobe's one ass-raping stellar human being.

Great example of Jordan of old NBA versus today's players and rules.

EDIT: More examples

This is why the Kobe = MJ nonsense should be put to rest.

Pretty cool video, and I agree, Kobe doesn't compare. Even a straight comparison of statistics not taking into account rules has Jordan as the better player, those videos just show for certain that Jordan is the best.
