Iron Man

So, the demo's up and available. Kind of what you'd expect if you've played the recent Spider-Man or Hulk games. Your main attack seems kind of weak, but I guess that's how it supposed to be at the beginning. I like that you can upgrade the suit, but I guess that's standard nowadays. In fact, standard is the way I'd describe everything about it. I may pick it up when it drops in price, but there's no way I'm paying $60 for it.

Anyone else play it yet?

I gave it a quick spin early this morning. Graphics looked pretty nice for a game put together fairly quickly. But that about as far as i got. I couldnt grasp the flight controls and got pissed and quit. I get cranky if i dont have my breakfast. Going to check it out again, looks like its kinda a neat spin on air combat games.

I played Iron Man and Hellboy Science of Evil at New York Comic Con and I would add that they are must buys for me along with The Incredible Hulk where you get to completely trash New York City and its residents. Maybe in a Hulk video game sequel he could visit New York Comic Con.

I liked it. The desert's kinda sparse, and the controls need some tweaking (a targeting button, and a better hover mechanic), but the Unibeam's a shitload of fun, and the result of grappling helicopters and missiles filled me with childish glee.

Certainly not blowing $60 on it if this is all there is, but it's gonna make for a pretty solid budget title when the time comes.

With games like these, they should take the money they use from having the actual actors doing the voiceover work and instead put it toward development.

How long was Spider-man 2 the game in development? I remember that was a pretty solid game. It doesn't seem impossible to do, but it does seem that it all comes down to the development time.

I'd put developer over development time. Obviously a nice mix of the two is important.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that most of the dev time on Spider-Man 2 was spent with the web-slinging mechanic. Obviously, it shows.

Took me a while to realize lightly holding down left trigger meant hovering level, but after that I was having tons of fun.

Just two days til Sega's Iron Man arrives in stores. After playing it at NYCC I think this will be one of the 2 good game adaption of superhero films released this year, along with...The Incredible Hulk.
