Bloodlines is one of the best RPGs of all time regardless of it being broken. Great quests (remember the twins?), awesome dialog especially playing as a Malkavian and some of the best atmosphere ever. The haunted house is shit your pants scary. I've been itching to try it again but I'm absolutely swamped in games right now.

Holy shit Torchlight!

So fucking good. If you claim to even like Diablo you should be required by law to get this. So fucking good.

Yeah, I loved the demo, but Dragon Age drops Tuesday, so I know I'd be treating Torchlight like a red-headed stepchild.
I've never understood that expression. Do red-headed stepchildren really get treated worse than blonde and brunette stepchildren?
Of course, the little mutant ginger bastards.

It's a shame but the same goes for me. Too many damn games.

It's damn near tragic, actually. When I was 19 I had all the time in the world for gaming but I lived on peanuts and tap water. Now I have enough money to buy every game I want but can't find time in weekdays to play for more than an hour and a half and I have to somehow make all my fun fit in the weekend.

If you're interested ... there is a PC demo for the Avatar game available for download here.
hahahahaha who would be interested in that

I couldn't resist so I dropped my 16€ to buy Torchlight. Even though I'm neck deep in Dragon Age right now, I really can't get into it if I don't have at least a couple of hours to play. Torchlight really scratches that itch. It scratches that itch really good.

Help me decide which new game to get to inaugurate my new laptop. I'm considering one of the following:

Fallout 3
Assassin's Creed 2
Dragon Age: Origins
Borderlands

I'm picking as hell about games, though, usually rigidly sticking with the Half-Lifes and Quakes, but I'm open to new stuff. Couldn't stand GTA: San Andreas (never could used to the controls), so anything similar probably wouldn't work for me. Any suggestions?

Dragon Age. I've beat the other three, and can say you will without a doubt get more enjoyment and bang for your buck out of DA than the of the others.

Damn, there's a pretty insane sale going on Steam right now. I got Osmos, which is a pretty fun physics based arcade game for 2€. Half an hour later I see Deadspace on sale for 9.99€. Bought that too. The LucasArts Premier Pack is 49.99 and so is the THQ Complete Pack. I love Steam so fucking much. You better hurry because the offers change every 24 hours, though.
Picked up Osmos as well. Also got Plants Vs. Zombies for $5 and KOTOR for $2.50. Unfortunately it doesn't run very well on my laptop. Still, I don't feel like the money was wasted.

Ive got my fingers crossed hoping there will be a $10 dollar sale on Torchlight.

Pretty great deals again today Borderlands for $33.49 and Left 4 Dead 1 for $7.49. I ended up snagging Left 4 Dead, that's such a great price.

God I hope so, I know the game is a good price already but I'm holding out for sale even if it's only 10% off.

I don't mean to sound like a douche, but what are you waiting for on Torchlight? I must have spent twenty hours on it already and there's no end in sight. Twenty dollars is a really good price for it.
I picked up 2001 for like $8 today.

I haven't been sitting on steam hitting refresh since release waiting for it to be cheaper, I only recently got back into (non WoW) PC gaming and after noticing the sale I've decided to hold out until the sale is over. I can wait a few days to play it if it ends up being cheaper.

Welp, got Mirror's Edge in that Steam sale too. For 3.49€. Are you fucking kidding me? I almost feel bad for buying it but how could I resist? That's cheaper than a beer!

So Ive somehow gotten 2 guest passes for Killing Floor. They expire 1/11. Send me a message through Steam and I'll send one your way.

So now those Steam achievements actually have potentially tangible value. Anyone trying to get them for the Steam Treasure Hunt? Getting 10 achievements enters you in to win 100 games, and doing at least 1 achievement enters you for 5 games.

I'm refusing to buy any games that I don't already have/wasn't already planning on buying, but I have 3 of the necessary achievements so far. I may end up with 10, depending on the next challenges. At the very least I can log in and keep updating my achievements every few days.

I have 60+ games on Steam right now so I guess I'll get the ten achievements easily.

You know, I got Steam specifically for my son to play something called "Garry's Mod", and I didn't realize that you could get all these other games on it. I guess I should look into it a bit closer.

Steam is all that is good about PC gaming. I've had 2 hard drives crash in the last few years, and installing Steam and letting it run for a day or two redownloading all of my lost games for me is a godsend. Well, that and their obscene sales which get me buying way more games than I would have otherwise.
