Scrabulous (online)

Anyone else hopelessly addicted to this thing? Soul Ahn Ice and I have been playing all day. If you're interested we could get some chewer games going.

I added that application on my Facebook, and I play it all the time (even though I REALLY suck at it). I'll sign up on the main site later today, and we can get a game going if you want.

Any idea if you can form groups on the site so that we don't have to post e-mails here publicly?
No clue. Are we Facebook friends? We could always spam all the chewers and just play it there.
I have like 7 games going at all times on Facebook. Look me up if you want to play.

Edit: Chris I just started a game with you!

I'm on facebook but have no idea how to play there. You guys will have to bear with me.

Excellent. Should be an easy victory for you.

Seriously, just look at my stats. I'm awful.
Signed up on the site (Trejo), but seems the browser version is blocked by stupid work filters. Maybe email?

I'll add this to my facebook when I get home and am open for games, though I only have a couple chewers on my friends list so far. What gives? I think I've still got the newest wall-post in the chud.com group, seek and destroy.
I love this crap, so bunch of you will be getting friend requests, followed by severe verbal beatdowns.

Are you guys all playing through facebook? If so I need to figure that out. I can get the application but I'm not sure what options to select. I'm still pretty new to facebook, and also kind of a dumbass.
Whomever wants to friend me on Facebook, search for Sabrica Barnett. I can't imagine there'll be more than one. Mention CHUD in the friend request.
Found you through the Chud group, Diva, but the "add as friend" option wasn't available. You probably have some kind of privacy settings to stop you being accosted by degenerates such as myself.

On your left hand navigation, click on the Scrabulous link. Once on the Scrabulous homepage, at the top navigation bar (there's a black bar with white lettering), click on "New Game". A new page will pop up and a text box will ask you whom you wish to play with. You can type up to 3 friend's names. Keep all the settings on the default (English - TWL, Regular). Click on "Start game". Voila!

Yeah I do. When I started teaching I had students trying to friend me. I'll un-restrict my privacy settings.
Okay, so I admit to playing the game, and suddenly the challengers are coming out of the woodwork. All I can say to that is:

BRING IT ON!
Just found this game...

Oh my.
My game with Banks started off with a bang. I began the game with a 70-point Bingo and he comes right back with a 63-point one. This should be interesting indeed.
Thanks for this! My gal and I love to play Scrabble, now we're doing it through email, too.
I'm in facebook and kicking Trejo's ass!
Dude it's not even my first language
Summer and I are (slowly) playing as I type this. It's averaging out to one move a week, but we're gettin' there.

Tati: you're on the decks, so don't get comfortable.
You realize you can play more than one game at a time, right?

Dude, Trejo's Canadian. It's not his first language either.

Yes, I got 3 going on right now.

Eaton, you are on Notice.

Just finished a remarkably intense game with Diva. We both played well I think, but she took it with some savvy tile placement.
Yeah, Diva's a demon. She just beat me by about 100 points. God, I suck.
Banks was no joke. I didn't have the greatest tiles ever, but as he said its all in where you place them. I try and get as much bang for my buck with every turn.
She's destroying me and showing no mercy.
Damn, i need to get into that action.
Just out of curiosity, what are you guys scoring? I'm on my second game with a friend (been taking about a week per game) and lost horribly the first game but this second game I'm kicking some major buttocks!

That whole section on the top right was all me, "Nerd" gave me mad points.
7 games going and no one made a move all day!
cmon people!

You're really raping that guy.

I just started a new game with you, I can play for about an hour.
338 yesterday!

Things I learned from Scrabulous today:

Manitou is only worth 10 points.
What about cockpunch or krakenhead?

I'm just so glad I finally got to play that word. That in itself is priceless.
I usually average between 300-350 a game.

My best score (I had 3 Bingos!):

Since I just learned how to screen grab, here's our game:

Both Diva and Schwartz are kicking my ass pretty bad.

I am now realizing that i know maybe 20% of the english language.
No no, they just cheat. The only people in the universe who think "Qi" is a word are Diva and Scrabulous.
I do dislike the "2 letter word" hint box that they give you, takes away from all the years of scrabble beatings I've endured to accumulate my two letter scrabble \ scrabulous knowledge.

This is exactly why Scrabulous came and left my profile in the same day.
Their dictionary is severely fucked up. The "challenge game" option is a bit better, but still a little wonky.

^ Haven't tried the challenge game option yet. What's that noise about?
They let you play words that aren't kosher, but the other person has the option to challenge the play. If they're right, you lose your turn.

Thing is, they provide a dictionary so you can look things up before you play them, but it's not at all consistent with what they actually allow and overrule.
I kind of hate you guys for getting me into this...

I have 21 active games and 4 of them are just tables I jumped into.

Also, Diva and Banks both spanked me quite handily, so theirs is a game I would've loved to have seen.

(Trejo, does this mean I should remove the game I have with you?)
Yeah, that game with Trejo has been in standby for a couple of days.

To be fair, I learned the "word" from Scrabulous. But damned if I'll let that stop me from getting a shitload of points from it.
But, according to Scrabulous, "zen" is a figment of my imagination. I suppose The Daily Show has had a Moment of Qi all these years.
"Qi" and "Xi" are essential Scrabble words. Also, "Ai" (really), and, actually...

here's a list of 2-letter words, and Q without U. This is for tournament rules, so they don't all apply to Scrabulous. I shouldn't be exposing my potential rivals to these resources, but hey, you guys are family.

Wait, I hate my family. Crap.
