The Chewer Mixed CD Swap 2008

Thread Starter
Because we haven't had one in about Eight Months.

The Rules:

1) Create an audio CD of songs you think somebody would want. New music, old music, obscure music, pop music. Hell you could send your partner 80 minutes of Latvian Folk Music as long as I care, but at least try and be reasonable.

2) When burning try and keep file formats to CDA, WAV or MP3 because these are the file types which most CD players can use.

3) You can send 1-3 CDs at a time, but one of these has to be a mix. Got a rare concert recording you know your partner is going to love? Send it over, but be sure to do a mix as well.

4) To try and keep things cheap and simple please put your Country of Residence next to your name when you sign up so we can try and group Americans, Europeans and Antipodeans together.

So if you want in just post in here and I'll add you to the list. If you're a pussy you can specify what type of music you want on your mix.

Sign Ups Close: Friday 2nd May 2008

If you want this extending just post and I'll change it.

I'll sign up, although I got burned during the Christmas swap.

I never received during Christmas either, but also never sent, so no hard feelings. I'm down with this.

EDIT: I'm in the good ol' USA.

I haven't done one of these in a while, so sure, sign me up.

Yeah, sorry about that, Dickson. I should have known better than to sign up right as I was finishing grad school. Bad Chewer, bad!

I'll be passing on this one. Too much going on right now.

No worries, Zooey, it was a crazy holiday for me too.

Spike, please take my name off the list. Like I said in my post above, I'm not going to be doing it this time.

Hey, Spike, I'm another American... and proud of it, GODDAMN IT.
I wanted to do this last year, but my computer crapped out on me. I'd love to make a fun mix for someone here, I don't think I'll disappoint.

I'm in the US, btw.
I think I totally screwed NinHead last time due to losing info during the revamp but I'll do better this time. I'm in Canada.

Right so Renn and Andrew are also swap buddies.

You have PMs blocked so send me a PM with your info and we can go from there.
Just waiting for a PM back from Renn.
Exchanged PMs with Butler; already begun compiling his tracks.
I volunteered already, but you seen to have arbitrarily ignored me. Dick.
Sent Andrew a PM. Compiling!
Reading the 07 thread is intimidating: those guys sent multiple discs, with themes and cover art and handwritten liner notes. I might as well ship Z-Man a 1.44 MB floppy with half a song on it.

Fuck that. Renn's getting a CD-R, and if he's lucky, I'll use a Sharpie to write shit on it and stick it in a case.

Jimmy, you might be able to get the whole song if you compress it to 96kbps. It'll just sound like someone's holding a radio underwater.
I'm doing themes. Kimbell, Eaton, you bitches step it up. The trifecta must not fail.
I'm trying to psyche out Renn. My CDs kick ass - should be done by the end of the week.
Goddamn you, Rath, I just made a second CD.
I'm making more than two, so there.

James, your CD is in the mail. Just one, but it does have a nice label...
