Love the RAIDERS caption pay-off. Too bad the flick sucked, as the described premise (and dvd cover) made me curious.

Thanks DM. That's the only caption I'm completely happy with.

Anyway, I agree...it's an interesting premise, but a horrible execution. Not sure if the novel is any better, but I'm curious to find out.

"[G]o back and watch the [I]flawed[I] but superior Dagon instead. . . ."? If the rest of your opinions as to everything else weren't so damned spot on, and your reviews so entertaining, you could be flogged in certain New England coastal towns for such a blasphemous remark. Nice review, as always, otherwise.

What is it, Igs? Dagon considered low-rent dreck up there? What about the Dunwich Horror? Is that okay to like?

Okay...so that *is* low rent dreck. But still....Sandra Dee nipplage has to count for something.

Can't believe this was given a second release! I reviewed this dreck last fall and from the looks of your review Chris I don't see any extra features different from the one I reviewed. The only difference is the cover

Oh, don't get me wrong, Ig...I dig Dagon, warts and all, but it's far from a perfect film. And it's definitely superior to the dull tedium that is Beneath Still Waters. Thanks for the praise, as always. I'm glad to know that you're still digging the write ups.

And Eileen, I have no idea if this is a re-release or not. Alex sent it to me in my last batch of flicks about a month or so, and I only just now got around to reviewing it. I probably should have waited longer. The sad thing is, I think I actually requested it. Yeesh.

Just checked Amazon and the only release was April 07 - you got the same one I did back then. Don't feel bad requesting it, so did I and like you, Yeesh.

No, I LIKE Dagon a lot. Haven't seen The Dunwich Horror, though. Not sure I want to, considering your statements. . .
