Holy shit. Congratulations, guys!

...you do, of course, realize no matter what happens, you're naming these two Luke and Leia, right?

Congratulations and Merry Christmas!

I can only give advice on being a twin....sorry.
Twins? Nice. Best of luck to both of you, and keep us posted!

Names are still up in the air (we won't know the sexes for 4-6 more weeks). But, if we have two boys, the wife wants to use Sam and Dean. Mary's such a geek.

Thanks, everyone.

well just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas man, and prayers with you.

If you do get a boy and a girl though, Luke and Leia it has to be.

Fantastic news, that made my day.

Or Samantha and Dina, if they're girls? Congrats. Great Christmas news!

Here's my only advice on twins: as a preschool teacher, I'm begging you, please, for the love of all that is good and just, do not dress them in the same outfits.

Congratulations. Interesting how things work out sometimes.

The universe seems keen on repaying its debts!

Another vote for a possible "Luke and Leia", btw.

I can't think of a better set of parents who deserve such a blessing. Congratulations and a Merry Christmas to your family!

Merry Christmas Travis. This news made my day.

EDITED for stupidity.

That's so awesome Travis. Congratulations, very very happy and excited for you!

Great news, sir. And if they're both boys: James Westfall and Dr. Kenneth Noisewater.
Both sides of my family are loaded with twins. From what I understand there is no good news. Just hold on to your set, and hope to keep your sanity in tacked.

Well good luck with your double mints

So many congratulations.

I think I have to quote "king of fuckspeak" from a favorite book on that:

"Fuck, that's awesome man. That's fucking AWESOME. Fuckin' A, that's FUCKING awesome."

(he then follows it up with "you're a Big Swinging Dick and don't let anyone telly you otherwise" but that doesn't quite translate.)

Big QL fan over here as well. So I support this.

Just discovered this thread today and I was touched by your journey... Reading it, my eyes welled up with tears.

I don't know you from Adam but I couldn't be happier for you right now. I'm not a deeply religious person but there is definitely something providential about this happening for you around this time.

People like you and your wife deserve all the best things in life. And, clearly, you have a blessing on the way.

Godspeed sir.

Congratulations!!! I wish you and Mary and the twins all of the best.

Best wishes and congratulations!

As the father of a 6 month old set of twins remember, never go anywhere with them alone. They take it as a challenge to attract the most attention possible. Strength in numbers. Also, and more importantly, alternate nights to take care of them. I was much better off getting one full night of sleep and one night with about 2 hours of sleep then I was getting 5 hours every night.

Now THAT'S what I call a Christmas present! My most heartfelt congrats on your upcoming additions, and consider naming the kids Han and Chewie, especially if they're girls.
Pick a different franchise: Wint and Kidd if they're boys, and Wint & Kidd if they're girls.
Congrats Travis.

Advice on twins: Be afraid, be very afraid.

As for names go classic, Romulus and Remus.
Thomson and Thompson.

In all seriousness (and joy), congratulations!

I am working an overnight shift right now and I just discovered this thread, I mostly stick to the Video Game thread, so I hope I'm not opening old wounds here.

I am happy to hear the good news about your twins, but deeply sorry to hear about your son Anakin. I had to leave your son's tribute site because I was dropping tears badly. I have a son, he's 3 years old now, that was born with no arms. Seeing my first born son being brought into this world with no arms was tough for me. Even now, seeing my son not being able to play with other kids like a normal child was something I thought was the hardest thing for a father to go through. But I am wrong. Your strength is truly an inspiration to fathers everywhere.

Congratulations to you and your family!!!!! You guys are constantly in my thoughts and prayers.

For what it's worth, that news just made my day - congratulations and best of luck with everything, Travis.

Late congratulations from here as well! Very, very cool!

If anyone can handle twins it will be you guys.
I'm also a bit late getting here, but CONGRATULATIONS of the highest order are definitely called for. This is great news and a most positive way to wind down a difficult year and usher in a new one! Best wishes!

Sam and Dean are awesome names!
Twins... that's awesome!

And good luck sorting out the names you'll give them.

Luke & Leia... Sam & Dean, they're both good.

Hank and Dean
Congrats on the twins!

As for names...Statler & Waldorf or Butch & Sundance works well for boys.
Congrats!!! I'm still saddened from your past experience and in awe of your strength. I have a 15 month old daughter, and my wife and I were in tears reading your story. Best of luck to you, and thanks for bringing some more nerds into the world!

We're kinda stuck on girl names. Though she likes the "princess" theme(Aurora, Snow, Jasmine, Ariel, etc).

Thanks for all the well wishing, everyone. The wife and I really, really appreciate it.
Amazing. This has really made my night. I was just telling my wife the story of your son and yours and your wife's strength about a week ago.

Congratulations.
Congrats man.

For two boys I say Riggs and Murtaugh.
Stan and Ollie! Need some Laurel and Hardy love, folks. It's been too long!

Girls, huh? Well, there's always Thelma and Louise.
