The Montana Republican party is so screwed up (if you can believe it). They're having their big strategy/klan meeting for the general election this weekend. Instead of allowing their candidate for the US Senate time to speak they have opted to have Ron Paul, the failed Presidential candidate, give the big speech. In fact, they are pretty much ignoring the US House and Senate races altogether.

Admittedly, their Senate candidate is a complete nutbar (with the greatest eyebrows in the history of the world) and the Democratic nominee for the House seat has pledge not to campaign unless it's convenient for him (?!) so I guess they have reasons for ignoring the races. The whole thing still seems pretty bizarre, though.
