This Coming Wednesday in LA... - Page 2

Wish I could have stayed longer, but it was great to see you guys. I missed the later crowd but is sounds like good times!
I'm sure I frightened some people when I yelled out "HOLY SHIT, IT'S NICK AND HE'S GONE JESUS!"

But was that awesome. Not to mention I explained to the John Adams of CHUD my philosphy on what Tarentino is always doing when not actually doing a project.

Oh and props for Jeremy Smith now giving me the idea of reading all of Molt's post in the voice of Charles Nelson Riley. Great meeting you all!

Who would be the John Adams of CHUD? I officially anointed Andre the James Joyce of CHUD.
The "John Adams" of CHUD is this guy (I don't remember his name) who was sitting next to me who posted the second article of CHUD after Nick. The guy's a writter for Battlestar Galatica and his episode premiers on Friday. BE THERE!

I must take credit/blame for the Molt comment. Twas a pleasure all, and yt I wish you could have stayed longer, though I'm sure I'll harass you in the nears. Some of y'all disappeared quick.
Oh yeah, that's right. It was Smith who was talking about Molt looking at the belts for an hour and a day.

Bart: "I'm a nerd...."

Milhouse: *gasp* So am I!

That scene kept running through my head many times that evening.

Vader, I still love the fact the best way to figure people were with the group was to assume a large group of bearded men were to appear. And oddly enough the majority of men did not have a beard.
Next time I'll ask the hostess: "Is there a group of men here abusing the jukebox?"
Ah yes, I love how the people reacted to my selection of Phil Collins. MWHAHAHAHAHA!

I had a great time; Nick, Jeremy, Devin, Andre, & crew were all very cool. I got a good breakdown of Polanski's The Tenant, some insight on Morrison's The Invisibles, an inside scoop on BSG, & I got to talk baseball with someone who seems to love the game as much as I do. Huzzah!

But I will always remember this as the only time I have ever gone to someplace in Hollywood and found a parking spot directly out front of the establishment. It was a good sign of how the rest of the night was going to go. I hope we can do it again sometime.

ETA: I also found it entertaining that people seemed surprised that my last name is actually "Tieman" (rhymes with semen)...

You didn't pay for parking? *Slams table* Son of a bitch!

Picturing you actually yelling this in an enraged fit actually made me chuckle out loud.

I didn't pay for parking either. Only had to walk one block. Smells like . . . victory!

I was proud of my Asia selection, but Nick won the jukebox assault hands down. Nothing like seeing an entire bar wince in unison at the opening strains of "Don't Worry, Be Happy".

Had fun throwing back beers wit' y'all. I'm sure we'll do it again.

My Proclaimers/Bobby McFerrin/Color Me Badd trio toppled Al Quaeda.

Yeah but my Phil Collins assassinated Bin Laden.

Didn't attend the dinner due to our prior engagement of insulting Akiva Goldsman to a packed house of studio executives, Amy Pascal included, forced to witness a circumcised Hancock.

Made it over to The Cat & The Fiddle to meet some of you and elaborate on our fun filled adventure.

Nice to meet all of you...and if I didn't get to meet you, it was still a pleasure breathing the same secondhand smoke as all of you.

Wasn't expecting Nick to look like the love-child of Jesus and Michael Douglas, circa The China Syndrome.

Enjoyed shootin' the shit with Jeremy. And totally agree, COCK is a much better title than Hancock.

Damon, you are still the whitest black man to ever grace the floor over at The Short Stop.

And Devin, you will always be the WOLFKING of L.A. to me.

Thanks for letting my merry band of deviants crass your party.

Kevin
