It'll get you a friend for life. Riiiight here in NY. Have I mentioned how handsome you are? What a nice guy? You smell good too. (*Sigh...*) And this darn habit I have of putting out - I could really use a friend to discuss that with.

In New York that's like...an hour if you're the governor.

Too soon?

I'm thinking about picking up some unspoiled land in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Oregon, or maybe someplace in SoCal like Temecula. I originally wanted something in Costa Rica or Nicaragua, but I'm running into static on the homefront.

Actually, I don't think I'll be receiving one. Damn.
So you always wanted to see Montana, eh Overlord?

That, and have an opportunity to endorse Mr. Hammond's park.
Well you do that, but be careful when going out on that yacht of yours.

That's all you Californians do! You come up here, buy the good land, build your obscenely large houses, and visit three times a year! Fuck you!*

*This is the general reception you will receive if you come to Montana. We're cheerful and accepting of others.
Hey, you don't want our cash that's just fine by us. Let's see if Wyoming would be more accepting.
That's what all the idiot xenophobes don't get! It drives me nuts.

I've still got some of my stimulus money left, so on June 24th, I'n taking my Mrs. to see her favorite band (Patrick Bateman's, too!)... HUEY LEWIS & THE NEWS at the Count Basie Theatre in beautiful Red Bank, NJ (a mere belch and a holler from Jay & Silent Bob's Secret Stash!)!

Yes... YES... I can taste your envy from here. It energizes me.

may also make an attempt to sneak the Ultimate James Bond collections in there without any fanfare toward the missus....I've been whining like a bitch about them since they came out. You'd think by this time she'd just tell me to buy the things to shut me up.
Heh. You let your wife tell you how to spend money? What a wus...Damn, I gotta go. My wife needs the computer.
I received a very small refund.

Stupid unfair stimulus package.

Still waiting on my rebate. The government is worse than Microsoft's Live Search Club.
I'm with you Voight, I'm expected to get it by next week. But who knows.

Still I look at that David Tennant suit and hope.

So did the Government in America REALLY just print and give all you lot some free money to inflate the economy?

Isnt that, you know....socialism?
I dunno if it's socialism, but I DO know that it's $600 I didn't have before (or at least it will be, around June 20th).

But you've already given that money to the Canadian Government, their simply giving it back to you to avoid double taxation on exchanges.

FINALLY received my check today. Now I need to find me tailor nearby that can give me some measurements.
Got mine too. $600.

How much does a Realdoll cost?
I think you could get a quarter of a doll, Bark.

So I got a letter last night in the mail. A letter, telling me my $600 was on the way, to sit tight, to not make a fuss, to please not make a scene because people will stare, etc. In short, I got a pat on the head from the gubment and no moolah yet. Know what would have made that letter rock? My check. Or, you know, nude shots of Gary Oldman. But I got neither.

Got the letter yesterday too. I initially thought that maybe the government did something AHEAD of schedule, since the letter was even packaged like a check with the tear away sides and all. Little did I know it was just the government fucking with me, getting my hopes up for no reason.

So, how much money did they spend mailing letters out telling people what they already knew? Wasteful.
I got the letter as well, which made for some confusion on my part. As was discussed earlier in the thread, I owe a chunk to Uncle Sam for a couple years back, so I didn't think I'd be getting anything (it would just apply to my balance). I'm hoping I actually do get the money, because I could use it at this point.
I haven't even gotten a letter. Fuck you SS# that ends in 99! My last name starts with B. I'm used to getting everything first. *pout*
post #131 of 153
I got a letter from the IRS saying it was applied to all the back taxes I owe them.
I am eagerly anticpating my check. The family and I should be getting about $1800. plus that week I should get my vcaction pay. It could be a $pyaday. Which means I am calling in sick and going shopping.

Actually, I plan on paying rent, bills, buying a Gi for my MMA class and maybe the Are you afraid of the Dark DVDs I just found on Amazon.
Never mind- responding to an old comment that doesn't make sense in context. IGNORE.
Finally got my MFing letter.

I've waited far too long for my hookers and blow money. I'm almost sober!
I finally got mine last week and spent all $600 of it wiping out my remaining debt. Hooray me!
Ordered my suit last week. Man I hope it comes out right.
You only had $600 in debt? Dammit.
He said remaining debt.
Still waiting. No letter. No check.
We finally got ours last week. We used it to buy a painting for above our bed that costs, when all is said and done, $1265.

I know, I know...a mirror would have been cheaper...
Was it a Velvet Elvis?
It's a really pretty landscape in an intricate frame. We've been looking for the right picture to go over our bed, but the size had to be within certain constraints because of our headboard. The wife unit found somthing that fit that we could both agree upon, so we grabbed it. The fact that it only cost us $65 out of pocket sealed the deal.

She's happy, that's all that matters. FINALLY.
I FINALLY got my $600 on Monday - WHOOT!!! Sent $400 of it to my ING account (which is my savings for the downpayment for the future-condo), and kept $200 of it since I'm a little low on funds right now till payday.
Ok people. Speak up!

Who of you is partly responsible for this?
Finally got my dirty money. Spent it on a PS3, extra controller, and a couple of games.
Still waiting. No letter. No check.
