 What's the significance of that, in this theory?  (getting lost in the air is really easy to do, particularly for an inexperienced pilot.  I've found that covers most questions for me in the past.  May not be relevant to this)

I actually think Spook is making the most sense.  But as I have a TS and work for a government contractor, so I am probably compromised.  Having also seen The Wire played out in real life every day with respect to middle managers and power brokers, I am convinced that any black or white (evil!, savior!, they knew!, the could have done...!) approach to the events of the past decade is borderline retarded and shows an astounding lack of historical perspective and sociopolitical awareness.

Why is it so hard to believe that 19 evil bastards trained for a few years, hijacked a bunch of planes and crashed them? All these desperate conspiracy theories make me sick.

Also: They absolutely could have done whatever they wanted in the weeks following 9/11. So why they made such a hash-up of their follow-up plans after supposedly executing the most brilliant cover-up of all-time would be an even bigger conspiracy to crack.

I think you're a really smart person YT and I respect everything you post, from movies to politics.  I agree that there are questions to ask, but the questions are mostly about our screwed up system of government and our national character.  The only conspiracy here is the massive lie that we tell ourselves, as a country.  The truth, as I see it:

1) 9/11 was caused by (aside from a band of crafty fanatics who actually carried out the attack) an intelligence and security apparatus that completely and utterly failed its country (Ahem... ca. 8/2001 in a Presidential Daily Briefing to Bush: "BIN LADEN DETERMINED TO ATTACK THE UNITED STATES"); and

2) Our response to 9/11 belies the cowardice and skulduggery of baby boomers, at whose feet I lay every crime committed by this country within the last 50 years.

What was the response to 9/11?  Go shop more, your nation needs you.  Why?  Because baby boomers are self-indulgent gas bags who have sold the rest of us out in exchange for their desire for a comfortable and care free existence until the day they day--which, in their mind, they never will.  Apres-ils, le deluge. 

By the way, Tax Man, we all have our issues with Princess Kate, but I think we, as a community, have moved beyond calling her an "autistic girl" or an "aspies."  I think I speak for everyone when I say get with it or get out.

All this stuff about a controlled demolition is so crazy.. I watched some footage on the 10th anniversary, and saw some angles I'd never seen before, and there was one movie where you could see the tower buckle and then break over the course of a minute. You could see the building under stress, and then the top falls over at an angle, it's astounding weight bringing down the rest of the structure under it

I mean, you can tell when the physics are off with CGI effects, your mind can just intuitively sense how things in the world move and react to gravity, and here it's plain as day watching that footage what kind of physical stresses that building was under

You'd think some physics sense might help.  But then you see those Loose Change guys arguing that if the building tips a bit at the top, it should be tipping right over as a single thing.

My guess is it isn't so much 'A little learning is a dangerous thing'  but 'a little Legos can be a dangerous thing', with some people.

The problem, as this thread clearly shows, is that you're a fucking myopic lunatic.

Anyways  I didn't spot any of these videos in the thread, so for a sort of archive I figured I'd throw them in for the curious.  They're mostly about the Thermite theory being hilarious (just that it was ever floated is amazing to me.  Except that it really wasn't outright stated.  People like unanswered questions and oddities but the implications of them must stay fairly vague in this sort of thing or else they'll be far more questionable than the official version).

Like, I am not one to always believe the official story. I think JFK was killed by a conspiracy within our government and intelligence community. I think Bin Laden might well be alive at a secured black site, and was never killed in the raid and rather was renditioned. However, this controlled demolition thing is just fucking stupid and beneath any serious consideration. "How did building 7 fall!?" oh gee, I don't know, did you see the towering steel structure that pancaked out crushing everything in its path?
