When bad girls go....good?

I don’t post that often in the Sex forum, but something happened in the past week that I thought was interesting and figured would be worth discussing on here.

Erica Campbell recently announced on her official website that she found God and is retiring from nude modeling. For those who don’t know who she is, Campbell over the past few years has appeared in various Playboy Special Editions, Perfect 10, and Penthouse. She also was featured on websites like PinupGlam.com and Danni’s Hard Drive.

If you have never seen pictures, I would recommend doing a Google search of some past images of Campbell. She is very easy on the eyes.

This is a recent interview from Glamourcon that was posted a couple of months ago on Youtube.

And this is what you see if you visit her website now.

Before she shut the website down, Erica posted a message on her blog saying that she was in a car accident where some idiot in another vehicle was driving on the wrong side of the road and she almost got killed. This near death experience is most likely why she is stepping away from her former profession and she posted the current letter on her site.

One part of me is pissed because Campbell is incredibly hot and she still has the looks to stay in the industry for a few more years.

However, her letter does make a couple of good points about the adult industry and how it can lead models down a dark path towards self destruction and addiction.

Is this a case of someone just over reacting to a random bad event? Do you agree with anything she wrote? What other models or adult actresses can you think of that have once been naughty on camera and then decided to call it quits?

In terms of porn she was never really a "bad girl". I've never seen any hardcore man on woman videos with her or even lesbian videos. I've seen her model with another girl but nothing involving sex. She's definitely an incredibly beautiful girl with a damn good body. Good on her for finding Jesus and being saved!

I still have Raylene Richards.

I'm going to wager that any internet model that has worked for a few years in the business, and has been a featured model in the examples you cited, has more than likely given gynecological and rectal exams for the camera and been photographed from every possible angle resulting in a gajillion easily available pictures of her being online. So it begs the question: How many more pictures do you need?

You're seriously asking that question on a message board about sex? That's like going up to a fat guy and asking him how many more meals does he need to eat.

Hey, I'm a guy. On the internet. It should go without saying that I've got no problem looking at the naked women folk.

Just sayin' that once a girl has shown you the goods in every conceivable angle, and supplied you with more fapping material than you could ever possibly use, is there really any reason to be upset that she's left the business? I mean, before this girl found God she gave you the full schematics he used to make her.

Does Not Compute.

I hope she doesn't mind that I'll still be masturbating furiously to her pictures. But if she's found some kind of peace, good for her. If it weren't for the Born Again stuff, I could think of much worse ways to spend my life than happily married to her (and banging that perfect bod) and taking care of animals.

When you put it like that, I suppose you're right. It's just that Campbell was a personal favorite of mine and could always be counted on to appear in some really great pictures.

There is a series of pictures on the internet of her dressed like Wonder Woman that are very nice.

As nekkerbee posted earlier, at least she is finding some peace and getting out of the business before it really messed with her head. So, I guess I shouldn't complain too much.

I recall hearing that Stacy Valentine had found God & quit the industry. But I think she went back shortly thereafter. She never seemed that bright; maybe this was the only way she could make a living. Kind of sad, but since I always liked her, I'm not too broken up about it from a purely selfish perspective.

The bunny is a nice touch.

I have to agree with the "good for her for getting out" sentiments. It's just the Jesus stuff that doesn't sit well, especially the full-on batshit bible thumping tone of the letter.

There's just no middle ground for some people.

Gina Wild gave it up to pursue a real acting career. I think she did some presenting, but nothing else really took off for her.

Fafhrd, I'm not going to ignore the fact that at some points in the letter she goes a little overboard. However, you have to remember that this letter is coming from a woman who was almost killed by an irresponsible driver and she has been holding back negative feeling about her profession for a couple of years now. She is also cutting off ties to an industry that helped her financially support herself.

Is she being entirely rational in the message? No.

However, put yourself in her shoes and tell me how calm you would be in that sort of situation?

She's the talent scout for Penthouse now. So, she's still in the business, but behind the scenes. Not bad, if you ask me.

Probably a sweet deal, but I do think she made a few films in the time between leaving and the behind the scenes gig. I could be wrong, though.

Crissy Moran weaves a similar tale.

Complete with myspace blog!

I remember reading in one of her PB Special Editions that she was raised a Catholic, after all, her gene pool is Polish and French Canadian (although she was born in New Hampshire). I still admire her a lot though.

I love on her MySpace it says "In a relationship" but on her boyfriend's page it says "single".
