This really sucks, I've loved Law since The Golden Voyage of Sinbad, and Dangeriabolik is easily one of my favorite, this is certainly not the kind of news I wanted to hear today.

TIm Lucas, in his kind eugooglee, laments that there won't be a next time. I lament that there won't be a first. John Phillip Law attended cons from time to time, and he was someone I've always wanted to hear speak about a truly odd career.
