The truth is though, that dogs are really pretty uncommon in China (where I'm assuming this is based on the characters on the banner) so people wouldn't know of or expect this kind of thing. They are also less elevated culturally. I know that when we had some Chinese teachers stay with us after my brother came back from teaching English there, they were amazed that we had a dog living in our house, let alone a big 60lbs.+ one that we had.

So I can easily understand why some random assholes driving down the street that sees a dog not letting anyone get near a dead one that they would view it as a curiosity and take photos of it. There just isn't the same culture around pets as there is here. You won't see random 'pet hospitals' or anything like that so I don't think most people would even know what to do if they saw something like this happen. That said, it still sucks to see a dead dog. Especially one with a mate or companion like that.

Lol @ LeFors for that pic. This thread was depressing, but the picture of the Ewoks made me laugh. Some things never get old.

And I just saw what Billy posted. I had to take a defensive driving class (seven points on the license, no accidents though...) and the instructor specifically said its better to run over a small animal than avoid it, but its your own personal decision. If it was my life or the dogs, I'm hitting the dog.

Oh, thats what the class was, re-reading the fucking drivers manual. Most boring six hours of my life. Only took it to lower my ridiculous insurance rates (a whole $200 bucks!)
