Devil May Cry

I had heard some sort of rights issue bullshit over at AICN as to why there was only two discs of this series. But after who knows how many months on "Very Long Wait", I finally got to have disc 1. Only to wonder what the hell was the hold about?

This just isn't very good. The voice acting is terrible (Not to mention the dialogue ain't all that great either) animation isn't really good and frankly just boring. Perhaps because it's stuff I've seen before (Monster bashing: Hellboy. Look and outfit: Hellsing, Trigun) but there's nothing new to the table.

Not to mention if you have an anime featuring a cute 12 year sidekick or assistant you're already suspect in my book.

Although not as bad as Witch Hunter: Robin or Ghost in the Shell 2 though. Don't get me started on those.

Glad to have skipped it then...although I mostly do not agree with saying one of those other two titles you mentioned is "bad"...but then again, it all depends to personal taste, a rule that specially applies to anime.
As for the rights/delay issue, i couldnt give less of a crap about it...Im still pissed that the dvd releases of the second season of Black Lagoon got cancelled.

Well, like you said it's personal taste. However I found Witch Hunter to be slower than Molasses and GITS:2 had massive problems in my view including never-ending philsophical dialogue amongst other things.

Shame about Lagoon though, that wasn't bad.

Indeed, it was a fun show.
Never liked GITS, actually, and it was Wicth Hunter Robin I was talking about...I actually like that slow and almost quiet style of Anime...although i havent given Ergo Proxy a shot, actually.
