I came across this article earlier:
"Underage" Anime/Games in Danger
And it made me think, just when I was ready to go to bed, about how I feel about these sort of issues. And it scared me when I couldn't come to a conclusion as to what my stance was.
Personally, I don't play these games or am into the lolita anime/manga culture at all but when it's just something digital is it as bad as something real? Especially when it's concerning subjects like sex with underage characters?
I love committing crimes in Liberty City and killing soldiers of every nation but it's easy to see how some people assume that me playing those games will lead me to, or help me maintain, a lust for those activities the same way part of me suspects the people who play those sex games are doing too.
It's really been screwing with my brain for a few hours now. Nothing should stop people from enjoying virtual things if no one is harmed (hell, even if they ARE harmed. Those goddamn Daytona USA arcades will give you a concussion) but at what point is virtual/animated content treading on illegal?
