So WB has finally announced the release of a 20th anniversary Deluxe Edition DVD of Tim Burton's Beetlejuice (Blu-Ray release also) coming out in September. The transfer is remastered.
20th Anniversary. DELUXE EDTION.
So you would expect a good amount of special features. Yet, unless they haven't announced them the press release for the DVD shows the only special feature being 4 episodes of the Beetlejuice cartoon. So no commentary by Burton and Keaton. No behind the scenes or retrospective featurettes. It seems that with sales on DVDs down, the studios see no reason to give the consumer any incentive to purchase a title. So, hopefully this is an early press release without the special features finalized, otherwise I don't see much reason for purchasing this.
