Click here to read my investigative report into the strangely massive budget for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Well, that wasted my time.

Like your blogs so far, even though I'm not entirely sure you're not schizophrenic.

Instead, I Skyped John Williams, whose addiction to web-based Pictionary keeps him online most of the time. I suspected he might be the money vacuum involved. He gave up using a traditional brass section years ago in favor of a lineup of finely tuned Indian elephants played via Taser. It’s expensive, but you get what you pay for—in this case, massive international fines. However, I was able to pry John away from his mousey doodling long enough to learn that he barely charged a dime for IJatKotCS. The entire score was conducted over a Saturday afternoon using only a BitTorrent download of the original trilogy soundtracks and an old MacBook running Pro Tools. “You see the fucking hat, you hear the fucking song,” John belched. “Dum da dum-DUM! Dum da-DUM! That’s called genius. Now how the hell am I supposed to draw Anna Karenina? Goddammit!”
What the hell are you talking about? Where the do you think all the money went? ILM don't come cheap. Not to mention $125 million for any summer movie sequel is a pretty good price, let alone an Indiana Jones movie that is pretty much guaranteed to make at least $250 mil.

This blog was pointless....

You are kidding, right?

About the ILM thing? Yeah.

Maybe all the money was spent on craft services. Either way, there are other movies that I've often wondered where all the money went, but not this one.

No, about taking the blog seriously when it's trying to be funny.

In response

You must remember that those 125 million were last year's dollars. Adjusted for inflation, IJatKotCS cost nearly triple that. It's simple economics. Also, IJatKotCSQwERtY's budget far exceeded most of this summer's other blockbusters'. Iron Man cut costs by using Marvel Legends action figures in lieu of CGI, while Sex and the City and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull's coffers were dipped into only to purchase various computerized pun generators. The Dark Knight may end up costing more, as my sources are telling me it's taking extensive post production hours to airbrush out all of Christian Bale's charisma.

I was just kidding with that last one, by the way. Christian Bale has no charisma.
